I can eat akara alone like a main dish. I just did.  My body is so used to enjoying a bowl of akara and pap on Saturday mornings.  That didn’t happen today and I have been craving these delicious balls the whole day.

While everyone is waiting to eat eba and egusi soup for lunch? I am frying my delicious akara to eat for lunch and that’s it.

It’s so easy to make my akara myself because akara needs just 3 ingredients to make:

  1. Beans
  2. Salt and
  3. Oil

With just the three ingredients listed above, yummy akara balls can be produced in your kitchen. I like that my kids love theirs with fresh peppers and onion. Doe me, I want to taste the ground fried beans flavour and always make my akara dish with only three ingredients.  The only time chop in onion and fresh pepper is when the whole family is taking part in the meal.
