Which Is The Best Method For Serving Swalloow With Soup

Swallow with African vegetable soup
Hello Aunty Eya and WC peeps, kindly help a sister out. I am a Cameroonian married to a Nigerian man who loves to swallow with soup a lot. He has not complained about my serving
methods but when I check Nigerian recipes online, some serve both swallow and soup together in one bowl while others serve them in separate bowls.

Please I would like to know the best method of serving swallow with vegetable soup or draw soup.
Thanks, I learned a lot from you guys.

Seperate bowls bcos it shows some level of respect. Ur man shld be treated like a king not like a slave.

Yorubas drop the swallow right inside the soup. So uninviting.

I dnt think its a sign of disrespect if served together. Whether its swallow or rice and stew my hubby prefers the stew on the rice or the soup by the side of the swallow on the same plate.
He says it too much trouble to use seperate plates. Even if I put the stew or sauce by the rice or even pasta he complains that he wants it on top.
Why don't u ask ur hubby the method he prefers, its no big deal.

    2. What I think is dat Ʊ serve in different bowls then bring a flat seperate plate and he puts whatever he wants in d plate(Ʊ can do that 4 him on d dining table)...that's d way mumsy serves my pup cos he eats very little @ a time but can eat 20times a day if he is home yet he is tiny...lol

Indeed, just ask. Most important is to ensure the food is tasty, no matter how it's served, as long as it's tasty he will never complain.

I grew up to see my mum serve my dad rice and stew. Eba and soup in seperate plates and he had special plates for each dish. Buh my hubby prefers d stew on his rice instead of seperate plates. Buh pepper soup and yam/ plantain or rice in spereate plates.
