This my macaroni with milk recipe is something I should have posted long ago. I Don’t know why it never occurred to me to take pictures after serving this delicacy.
My kids love it and I love the fact that it’s easy to cook and serve, nutritious and very tasty especially when I pour evaporated milk.
For myself. I use skimmed milk or slim and it still tastes great. This was discovered years back in my family.
My kids love to ask for boiled carbs without stew or sauce and I Don’t blame them because growing up, I never really liked stews or sauces in my boiled rice or pasta. I preferred to just eat the while boiled carbs like that. As long as it’s salted while cooking, I enjoy plain.
When I started to have kids, just like that from no where, some of my kids ask for their boiled macaroni, boiled rice or any pasta to be served without tomatoes stew.
I never joined those who pleaded with them to eat with stews or sauces because I remembered my childhood.
How I discovered the delicious taste of milk and macaroni
One day, while boiling macaroni, my baby girl dropped her plate by the cooker that she wanted hers white. Worried that they may not be getting much nutrient-wise, I decided to open a can of evaporated milk and poured into tye macaroni.
Tastes and it really really was yummy so I gave to her. To my surprise, she ate and came for more. That was how I started to add milk whenever I didn’t feel like having my pasta or rice with stews and started to give to all my kids whenever there’s no stew available or no Time to make a pot of stew.
Yesterday while my boy picked his plate of macaroni with milk, I asked him to wait let me take a photo for posting. So here is my recipe for boiled macaroni with milk.
What you need to prepare macaroni with milk
- Macaroni or any pasta
- Water for boiling
- Salt to taste
- Evaporated milk or any liquid milk of your choice.
Steps to prepare this macaroni meal
This is the easiest recipe you have ever tried honestly.
First boil macaroni with water.
Next, add a little salt and drain when it’s cooked but not over cooked.
Finally, Serve the quantity you want to eat and pour in as much milk as you want.
Enjoy the creamy taste of milk in boiled macaroni.
Steps to serve rice and pasta with milk
To serve spaghetti with milk, I follow the easy steps above and it’s also delicious.
When I serve boiled rice with milk, after the rice is cooked, I serve and pour in my milk just like the way I do for pasta.
Your kids too will love it if they’re not really into stews or you want to try something different for a change. It’s full of not only carbohydrate but also protein that’s very important for growing kids.
When I serve mine, sometimes I like to slice cucumbers by the side but realised that cucumbers can interfere with the taste of milk.
So, I started to serve my vegetables in a separate plate or bowl while the macaroni stays with just milk alone.

Thank you, exceptional mom. Yes, we invented it oh.
We ate this as kids, (I’m 55 today)! My dad used to make it. Ours was made with macaroni, milk, butter, onion, and of course salt. Soooooo good!
I don’t eat pasta now, but plan on trying this with steamed cauliflower since it takes on the flavors you add it to.
