HOW TO BECOME A PROFESSIONAL HOUSEWIFE (PART 2)

Becoming a professional housewife can be satisfying and it brings sanity too. Becoming a professional housewife is being a stay-home mom that adds value to herself in one way or the other, being a housewife who doesn’t rush out in the morning for a 9 to 5 job but has found a way to be happy by making her own income from home, no matter how little or much. A housewife who earns her own change, her own money by being her own boss right there in her house.

HOW I BECAME A BLOGGER

A few days back, we shared a post by @adaeze’s_space on becoming a professional housewife (Part 1) and there was a promise by me to continue for as long as she keeps the series going. So, here is how the part 2 of how you can become a professional housewife.

I am one too. I am a real professional housewife. I quitted my job some years back to stay with the kids as hubby won’t agree with the idea of hiring a nanny.

Last last, I stopped working and started staying home. Before I stopped working, I discovered Linda Ikeji’s blog, became addicted, and happily became a regular reader.

Those days, she always had a way of asking her readers to start blogging so they can earn money from home and after reading one of those posts one day. I quickly Googled… ‘How to start a blog” The link takes you to how to start a blog on WordPress. ( See how to become a successful blogger like Linda Ikeji)

I started with blogger and moving to WordPress took years because I couldn’t do it myself. Thankfully wpbeginner helped me migrate the blog and now we are on WordPress enjoying all the benefits I didn’t know existed, and still discovering more.

There is a post I shared here on my blogging tips for new bloggers. You can check it out. That was the beginning of my blogging journey and with time I started earning.

Although we haven’t reached that point where I can boldly say that this is what puts food on my table, at least we can buy some pure water from the little earnings for now. That we are not earning much shouldn’t encourage you because it is self inflicted.

Blogging to make money is different from blogging for leisure. I started running fast, moved to the fast lane of blogging and the money actually started drizzling BUT, I took a long break because I couldn’t just cope with the stress from home. I needed more support from my family and it was two things… to keep blogging full time, make my money and see the marriage go down or be the full time housewife and blog with free time.

I chose the later, took a break and nearly never returned to blogging but God helped me and now I’m doing it with some caution like blogging when it’s my very free time and trying my best to not be seen sitting with the computer almost all the time, but, that is what professional blogging entails, you have to sit with the computer all the time until the blog gets to a certain level. When I returned back to the blog.

I met a ‘silent room’ The faithful readers had waited for updates ooo, gotten tired and ported elsewhere abi na me alone get blog?

However, you know why I still hold on? It’s the Social Media Shares. Sometimes I publish a post and within that same day, the post is shared over a hundred times and I’m like what? so people still read this blog?

Again the Google Analytics. The analytics show that people are here 24/7. I see numbers of readers everytime I log in even at 3, 4, 5 am. That’s what keeps me going, hoping that now that there is no baby to nurse, I ‘ll be able to give in more and reap the delayed results.

If as a housewife you want to blog, ensure you have the support from home and give the blog the time and attention it needs, with time you see yourself earning good money and meeting new and wonderful people who may remain in your life as God’s blessing forever.

That the break I took didn’t completely destroy this blog is a testimony. You won’t understand sha but to God be the glory that we are moving up the ladder again and I refuse to give up for as long as God gives me the strength and wisdom to run the blog, we’ll try our best hoping for the best.

As a housewife, you can start blogging knowing that Google has all that you need. All your questions have answers on Google search and may you not be that blogger that wants to ask other bloggers to teach them how to start a blog and how to post, that way you may not go far because nobody can teach another person how to blog.

Google teaches how to blog and helps with all the resources needed to run a successful blog anyday, anytime.

How to become a professional housewife and make money from home:

  1. GET A WORK SPACE. You don’t have to live in an MTV crib to have your home office. It can be the corner of your bedroom. Set it up, wake up and go there. You will be more productive.
    .
    .
Once a upon a time I used to live on bed. Literally live there. Now there are days I don’t even see my bed until it’s bedtime.

Life coaches and self-help experts will tell you that making your bed in the morning is very important to how productive your day will be. It doesn’t matter what you do at your “office”. Some days I stay there and press my phone. Most times I read and do my bible study there. I also plan and watch videos there. This picture was taking during my selfie break. 😋

  1. DRESS UP. That you are at home doesn’t mean anything. I know the temptation to just “let everything loose” and walk around looking “anyhow”. It affects your self esteem but you won’t know. Check out GLAM BY OBIS let her put the sense of God in you. 😂

If you are the one doing school runs, biko stop disgracing ya pikin. You don’t have to be red carpet ready either. Brush and fill in your eyebrows, littlele lip gloss, a mattifying powder if you get oily easily, earrings (I love hoops or studs), body spray/perfume and a nice simple outfit is enough to take your confidence from 0 to 100 real quick! It also makes you more productive. Trust me I know.

Make little changes that give you that mental boost. You will be surprised at how productive and ATTRACTIVE you will become. (If you know you know😉)

Part 3 coming up soon.
