HOW TO MAKE COFFEE WITH GINGER

This here is how to make coffee with ginger. For coffee drinkers like me, our day starts with a cup of coffee.  The reason I start my day with this special drink is not because I cannot do without the taste. For me coffee drinking is for energy.

Coffee does a great job at boosting my energy levels and helps reduce food cravings.  I live a lifestyle of weight loss and cannot afford to be eating too much.  The reason I can delay my breakfast is because I drink coffee in the morning.  On days that I skip this drink, the hunger and food cravings are almost unbearable.

In recent times, I have tried to add other flavours to my coffee just to experiment with the different effects and tastes. I tried coffee with lemon, lime and with ginger.  Thinking of also experimenting coffee with garlic but still unsure of my ability to enjoy it.  Lol.

Today? I want to share with us on how to add ginger to your glass or cup of coffee to ginger the day and enjoy that extra energy boost and wakefulness

MY VERDICT ON THIS COMBINATION

Honestly, after trying different varieties of flavours in my coffee.  My verdict today is that “the best thing that can happen to your coffee is a little ginger in the coffee”  Adding ginger pieces to coffee gives your coffee not only that lovely ginger flavour but also gives a beautiful rich taste of coffee.  Ginger flavoured coffee makes you want to drink even more coffee. The taste is very lovely.

Now back to how to add this two together. The steps are simple. The only extra work is washing and slicing the ginger and that’s all.

HOW TO MAKE COFFEE WITH GINGER

Here are the easy steps to a delicious energy boosting morning:

  • First wash your ginger by scrubbing very well with a brush to remove all sand and dirts from the root crop.
  • Place the clean ginger on a chopping board and with a knife cut out a few thin slices. Depending on the size of your coffee.  I use just between five and ten slices of ginger for my little coffee.
  • Next, place the coffee and some thin slices of ginger in a mug or your favourite coffee cup and pour in some boiling water.
  • Stir immediately with a spoon. I love fresh ginger roots and we always use those because in my location there is surplus of ginger in shops, supermarkets, farmers markets and even other district markets. If what you have is ginger powder, then use a teaspoon in your coffee and start enjoying all those benefits already.
  • Leave the coffee to stand for a few minutes.  Five minutes should be fine.  The reason for this is to reduce the hotness and prevent burns from drinking boiling coffee.  Another reason is to let the ginger seep very well into the coffee.
  • Finally? Sweeten and enjoy.  I like to sweeten my coffee before drinking.  If you can drink without adding sweeteners then go ahead and enjoy the gingery coffee drink with all the health benefits of ginger and coffee combined.
