Here is a recipe on How to make Nigerian zobo drink by Deborah Bala.

Zoborodo!  zobo for short is a drink made from dried flowers, it’s known as sobolo in Ghana sorrel in Caribbean bis app in Central Africa, rosella in Australia .  Zobo drink is  very nutritious and medicinal.

To make zobo for weight loss, you have to avoid using sweeteners. If you want thick zobo, then make with less water and do not add too much water after filtering out the zobo wine. To make zobo without sugar, you can use natural sweeteners like very ripe pineapples like we used here.

For how to make zobo with sugar, lewt the sugar wait until you are done boiling the hibiscus flower leaves and filtering. You don’t your sugar being absorbed by the chaff that will be thrown away.

Once the zobo is sieved out from the chaff, you can then add the sugar and mix, let it stand for a bit , then refrigerate your zobo wine.

Ingredients

Zobo (Hibiscus flower) leaves

 Back of pineapple (optional)
Back of orange (Not white part)  optional

   ginger
 garlic (Optional)
 pepper soup spices (Optional)
 pepper (Optional)
Sweeteners, Sugar or honey to your desired taste

 cucumber

  1. Pepper soup spice inside Zobo? I've lived in the North since I was born and this is my first time of hearing it!
Zobo cures High BP, it's good for bringing down cholestorol level and insomnia as well. It has similar medicinal properties as moringa.
I prefer mine really simple with d pineapples and all. I don't add garlic and even ginger is very little. Then vanilla flavour gives it a little scent.
