The little boy who danced so awkwardly

Ron kenoly testimony
Gospel music artist Ron Kenoly testifies.

My team and I were in Paris, France doing a meeting, at a Full Gospel Church. This particular service was a bit of a challenge because I did not feel to good about the interpreter who was interpreting for me as I ministered before the French-speaking congregation. I’m always very passionate when I sing or speak and I felt like the interpreter was not matching my intensity in his interpreting. Things like that have a tendency to rob you of some of your anointing because you become distracted by the lack of enthusiasm from the person interpreting.

To make matters worse, there was a little boy who was dancing in in front of the stage. His coordination was very poor and people were giving him more attention than they were to the ministry that my team and I were trying to present. I was wondering what I should do. I got to a point where I was just singing and not really ministering to Yah (God).

I proceeded with the service and allowed my singing become second nature; but as I sang I began to pray in my mind. At some point I arrested my distracting thoughts and started singing songs of intimate worship. That’s when the Spirit of the Most High began to move in a powerful way. People were falling to their knees worshipping and pouring out themselves before the Father. The Interpreter and the little boy were no longer and issue to our worship experience. I gave an altar call and several hundred people responded to altar ministry.

At the end of the service I retreated to the Pastor’s study and there I found the Pastor with a couple, with children, and several other people. The family was the family of the little boy who danced so awkwardly before the stage. After being introduced to them they shared this following story with me.

(This family came from England to Paris, France to tell me this story.)
That little boy (who was six years old now) was born with severe autism. The doctors had encouraged the parents to place him in a special home because the doctors said that the child would permanently be catatonic and never be anything close to normal. He did not move his arms or legs, he did not speak, he had no muscle coordination, neither did he respond to any eye contact from others.

The parents, on the other hand, believed that Yah (God) would heal their child so they chose to care for their son themselves; in spite of the great hardship it placed on them and their other children.
The child needed constant attention. He did not move at all so they placed him in front of the TV and played music and videos for him all day long. One day, after more that three years of placing him in front of the TV, they noticed that his eyes were following me as he watched my “Lift Him Up” video! Immediately they realized that the breakthrough they had been praying for was beginning to happen! They decided to only play my “Lift Him Up” video on the TV. This went on for another year.

Then one day as I was singing the chant “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” in the song “Can’t Stop Praising His Name”, the boy started chanting the name “Jesus” with me on the video. THE NAME “JESUS” WAS THE VERY FIRST WORDS TO EVER COME OUR OF THAT 4 YEAR OLD CHILDS MOUTH!!!

This, six-year old child (at that time), who the doctors gave no hope, was now running, playing, dancing, praising and defying medical science to the glory of Yah (God). This family had come all the way from England to France to share this story with me. They thought coming to Paris to tell me this story might be the closest they might ever get to me. I’m so glad they came, and I’m so thankful that I didn’t let frustration and distraction stop me from worshipping my Heavenly Father and my Savior.
This story is just another testimony of our Heavenly Father’s hand and favor blessing my life and my ministry.
