I have her permission to post this. Her husband owns a thriving Dental Clinic and she manages the office. They have been married for 5 years and have 2 children.
In order to strike a work-life balance, she employed her friend to assist with the office demands so she could supervise the kids after school and all that.
She noticed that her husband started spending more time at the clinic long after office hours. She became suspicious when she would call the office and the lines would ring out while his phone remained switched off.
It didn’t take long for her to find out why. He served her divorce papers.
Just like that. She asked him why? What was her crime?
They have had a happy life. She has been a great wife to him.
He said she did nothing wrong. It was him.
Not her. He loved her no more. He thought he did but has discovered he did not.
So he wanted out. She begged, wailed, cajoled …everything.
Nothing moved him. Not even the kids.
His mind was made up.
“I will make sure you and the kids do not lack anything and we will have shared custody.
You can continue to manage the clinic if you wish”
He took some of his stuff and left the house. Walked away and never looked back.
She signed the papers and it was over within 6 months. She did not fight.
Fight for what? A man who doesn’t love you?
Pointless.
She stopped working at the clinic shortly after and handed over to her friend.
Her friend hugged her and saw her off.
She took time off to deal with the low sef esteem she felt. She needed to build her confidence back.
6 months after the divorce, a wedding invitation was in the mail for her.
His wedding.
And he was inviting her?
The nerve!
She opened the envelope
He was really getting married.
To her friend.
The Office Manager.

I guessed at much. These kind of stories are really sad. but why are women always victims and the worst part, it’s her friend. Sad!
