Listed below are the best ways to use garlic in cooking. Garlic has so many great uses in cooking and numerous health benefits that we cannot deny. Growing up and not knowing
many garlic uses or the benefits of eating this superfood. I never liked the smell. I really don’t know how others find garlic smell but my nose does not really accept it.

Even as an adult, I couldn’t stand garlic until I started food blogging and discovered from my kitchen that garlic does taste great if we add it to food in moderation. I then realized that the strong smell of garlic comes when we add too much garlic to our baking and cooking.

 

Use garlic sparingly to get a balanced flavour

The quantity of garlic we add to cooking in my family is just a little clove. I have a large family. SWe cook large pots of food but the kitchen instruction says not to add more than one clove of garlic to food.

If the garlic clove is large, we cut
in half and use just one half and all our meals are not only nutritious but delicious too.

There may be people who love that strong garlic smell out there. I can’t really stand it. However, right from the day I discovered that garlic has delicious taste if we use it minimally.

I have not looked back. Have been adding garlic to my cooking and even my family members can;t tell that garlic is in the food. The only thing they notice is the rich delicious taste of the meals.

  6. Raw garlic on the skin has helped some fight acne but not those with sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin, avoid rubbing garlic cause the combined heat of garlic and the sun can cause burns.
  7. Garlic is not added to Nigeria soups because it has the power to change the local flavour of the soup. However, it tastes great in Nigerian tomato stews and stir fries.
  8. Eating garlic in foods helps give the skin a healthier smooth look.
