MY EXPERIENCE WITH SWEET POTATO FUFU (RAW BLENDER)


The best way to make sweet potato fufu is to boil and then pound. Raw blend fufu is for yams and plantain and other carbs. After I posted the raw blend yam fufu. A sister in the group asked if I can make sweet potato fufu and I said "I'll try, thinking it's just something you blend like yam, pour in the pot and stir. After blending, the stirring started and was never going to end as fufu won't even thicken enough or mould. I got tired, turned off the heat and left it to cool. It solidified a bit, enough to enjoy with draw soups like ogbono, ewedu and okra maybe. 











Thinking about the soft sweet potato fufu, I got another batch of potatoes, blended, drained out the juice with a strainer and started stirring again, same thing. For me, no raw blend sweet potato fufu except there is a binder to help it. The fufu was actually sweet and we kept cutting from the pot and licking without soup.
