Prayer for safe delivery. When I was pregnant. Even though we prayed and trusted God for a safe pregnancy and delivery. There were times I felt fear. Whenever I read or heard a story about maternal mortality, my heart starts racing. When I hear stories of stillbirth, my heart starts pumping and even though it doesn’t show outwardly. I felt fear of the unknown most times.
What made me buy the book supernatural childbirth? If not fear. Pregnant months are my most religious and righteous months as I make sure I go to church and to pray. The only times I missed going to church are weeks when I was almost due and sitting down for too long became difficult.
When you are pregnant, prayer life changes to fire fire. That happened to me and God has always been faithful. Every pregnant woman should try and at least pray for the baby you are carrying and for safe delivery. For divine help during delivery because we sure need that.
HOW TO PRAY FOR A SAFE DELIVERY
Every child of God knows that God honours his word and cannot deny it. If you want to say effective prayer, you have to back it up with the word of God. If you are good at memorising, why not? For me, memorising has never been my thing even during school days. If I try to cram anything, I forget almost immediately.
What helps me is just knowing what the story or subject matter is all about and that helps during my prayer for safe delivery. I know the stories of women who gave birth in the Bible. I know God’s promises even if I cannot quote verbatim.
I know that he said “the fruit of the womb is his reward” and those short ones I can say while just saying the long ones in brief. Not everyone is good at memorisation and God knows that.
Aside reminding God his promises the way that I prayed for safe delivery was making sure that I pray with my whole being involved. Not just saying the words but letting them come from my heart and feeling what I say.
How I pray is like living in the prayer such that I forget I’m in a room or facing the wall or even kneeling. At the end of prayer, I open my eyes and realize that ‘oh I have been on my knees?”
Or open my eyes and see that while praying I had moved to a very awkward position without even realising it.
Heartfelt prayer is powerful honestly. The way that someone asks for a favour can make you give or refuse. Even our kids. The way they approach us, most times tells us if they really need what they are asking or not.
Manner of approach. If two people come asking for the same thing, I see myself tilting towards the one that seemed serious, more than the one that asked casually.
My prayer for safe delivery is never casual. It’s serious business. I ask God right from my heart, my manner of approach is serious.
I pray with 100% concentration. If there is no conducive atmosphere for that kind of focus, I wait until everyone is asleep or go to bed early and wake up later to commune with God in the spirit.
God will not treat casually, what you take seriously. When we pray for safe delivery, let us believe that God hears us and that he answers prayer. If you pray doubting and unsure that God can do it, why then do you even pray.
SAFE DELIVERY METHODS
One thing we must understand though is that having a baby by Caesarean is also safe delivery. Don’t let anyone tell you that safe delivery is only when you push out the baby through the birth canal.
Having your baby alive with you is safe delivery. That’s what to pray for. What if you have a tight cervix or your baby is breech and CS delivers that baby alive and well to you? Isn’t that a miracle?
When a good movie actor starts to act or just before he begins, he goes completely into character. That’s why we can feel the movie like it’s real. When we pray, we go completely and get immersed in the spirit.
We live in it and not just say the words from our hearts. That way, the words come with power from us and are effective.

- Psalm 121:1-3 “I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber.” (NIV)

PRAYER FOR SAFE DELIVERY
Thank you almighty God for the gift of a baby. For making me a mother. Thank you my provider for blessing my family with this gift. Be glorified for putting this life in me.
To you oh God be all the glory for this miracle of conception. To you father we give all thanks for the blessing of fertility.
Oh God, as the days draw near for delivery, I know that you who began this good work in me will be faithful to complete it. Dear God I ask that this blessing you have put in my family will arrive safely in Jesus name.
Father God you did it for Hannah. When man saw impossibility, you opened up her womb and blessed her with a safe delivery. I receive that grace today in Jesus name.
Oh Lord God almighty, the God that made it possible for Sarah to carry a baby in her old age and deliver safely, I ask today that Father you bestow that grace upon me In Jesus name, That the blessing of Sarah and Abraham be mine.
I receive the blessing of a safe delivery today In Jesus name .
My almighty Father who did it for the Hebrew women, you are still the same yesterday, today and forever. I ask that you do it for me too today in Jesus name. Oh God, arise and prove yourself that you are still the same yesterday, today and forever.
Lord, let men see your hand of safety upon my life and the baby you blessed me with. Let your glory rest upon this baby Oh God.
Let your protection abide with me and the baby because you promised that you will neither leave us nor forsake us. At this moment, we need you to be here to deliver my baby safely according to your promises.
Lord God of all possibility, take charge of my delivery day, be with me in the delivery room, be the unseen midwife, be the Doctor at the delivery ward.
As I go to deliver this baby oh God, let your presence fill the hospital, let your glory cover the whole neighbourhood like water covers the sea.
Oh God I invite your presence to take charge of the delivery of my baby. Send angels of help to us oh Lord. May the right people be there for us. Holy spirit work through the Doctors and nurses for a safe delivery of my child.
Use them to your glory oh lord. Guide them to do what is right for me and this baby at all times. Show them what they need to see. Bless everyone in the delivery room and let your name be glorified.
My baby is covered with the blood of Jesus as they see the blood and pass over us. My life is covered with the blood of Jesus Christ.
At the mention of the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, therefore, let every negativity bow in jesus name. Let fear bow. Doubt bow. The enemy too, bow down in Jesus name.
Because there shall be no loss in the land, I pray that there shall be no loss as I carry and deliver this baby In jesus name. I shall not cast my young In Jesus name.
Safety is of the lord, therefore I receive the blessing of divine safety in Jesus mighty name. Thank you Father for answered prayer. For taking charge of the delivery of my baby.
I’m grateful to you God because no weapon formed against us shall prosper. When the enemy comes like a flood, let the spirit of God raise up a defence against them in Jesus name.
When they come against me or my baby in one direction, let them flee from us in all directions and when they seek us, let them see the blood of Jesus and pass over us.
Thank you Father, my delivery date is March 28,k 2019, I commit that day to you God. Let your will be done in my life and in my family. Let your name be glorified as you grant me a safe delivery in Jesus mighty name.
