This spaghetti porridge is not the one cooked with milk. This is Nigerian spaghetti porridge cooked like any other Nigerian porridge. It’s delicious, even the look can attest to that.

HOW TO COOK SPAGHETTI PORRIDGE WITH VEGETABLES:

Cooking spaghetti porridge with some colorful vegetables is easy. No experience needed. If you can cook Jollof spaghetti, then this is like peanuts.

First, make the Jollof spaghetti with enough stock so it doesn’t dry up after 10 minutes (The time it takes to cook spaghetti).

Once the spaghetti is about to cook, you add the stir-fried vegetables and mix gently. To stir fry vegetables for my spaghetti porridge. I wash chop, dice and stir fry with seasoning cubes. Onion is a compulsory ingredient in this stir fry. It gives the taste and aroma that we want in our delicious spaghetti porridge.

The stir-fried vegetables are set aside and added when the porridge is cooked. It’s delicious.

We used only a few vegetables here.

When you cook, cut the carrots to the shape and size you like.

INGREDIENTS FOR MY PORRIDGE:

1 pack spaghetti. I used Golden Penny Spaghetti cause it doesn’t turn out mushy when cooked.

Tomato paste

Carrots

Green peas

Onion

pepper

Salt

Seasoning cube

Vegetable oil

Nigerian chicken Stock

Hot Water

COOKING DIRECTION:

  1. Fry tomato and onion with pepper in oil.
  2. Gently drop in the spaghetti.
  3. Pour in the stock to completely cover the spaghetti. If it doesn’t, you can add water until the spaghetti is immersed.
  4. Next, are the seasoning cubes and salt to taste. Let it boil before adding the spaghetti.
  5. Finally, add your spaghetti and stir gently. Check again for taste and leave to cook for about 10 minutes before the stir fry is added and mixed. The pot shouldn’t dry up as the sauce in there is very delicious.
