HOMEMADE PIZZA SAUCE WITH FRESH TOMATOES AND CARROTS

Pizza sauce Nigeria
Mixing my Homemade pizza sauce.

Homemade pizza sauce is awesome because you get to add only the ingredients you like to eat. You can make it as thick or light as you want and above all, because you have the Nigerian palate that loves seasoning cubes and hot pepper. You can add as much as you want and make it taste just Nigerian.

For this homemade pizza sauce, by the time I finished kneading my little pizza dough, the sauce is blended, seasoned my Nigerian way and ready to spread.

The only ingredients I added to this pizza sauce are… seasoning cube, salt and fresh pepper. However, you should feel free to add and subtract like I always say. Don’t force your taste buds to eat what you don’t enjoy.

If you like peppers feel free to load. Be as creative as your taste buds will lead you. If you love scent leaves and would want to add them to your pizza, you owe no one any explanation. Cook what you enjoy!

We have many pizza recipes on this blog and honestly, they all have a Nigerian thing in there. They have that Nigerian touch that my palate loves. When you look at our pizza names , you’ll even smile if you are Nigerian, because they are pizzas like we know:

TYPES OF PIZZAS ON THE BLOG

There are so many different pizza sauces, different brands of pizza sauces sold at supermarkets and shops. If you do not have the time for homemade pizza sauce, you can always buy good pizza sauce from any supermarket but, you won’t be able to check how it tastes before making payments.

You can only taste after taking it home and if you don’t like the taste, it’s your loss.  Boiling and blending tomatoes is easy. And if you are worried about sour tasting tomatoes, just know that once you boil tomato fruits before blending, the sour taste automatically disappears.

That’s how I make my good Nigerian stews most times and it never fails.

Carrots too are a great blend with tomatoes. Carrots and tomatoes go so well together. When you boil and blend these two, the quantity of paste increases dramatically and the tase is fantastic.

The carrot and tomato stew we cooked some weeks back has had many repeats in my family because it was loved by all.

To make this pizza sauce using fresh tomatoes and carrots, you just boil and blend. Feel free to add a little tomato paste if you like.

Most pizza sauces have tomato paste in them. We did not add tomato paste to this pizza sauce but added some tomato ketchup to the pizza dough before spreading the sauce and toppings.
