DAY 36 MY WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY

 Fruits and protein dinner.
I’m a bit sad today sha! If anyone is following my meals to lose weight, please do not try yesterday’s at all. If you must, reduce the number of mangoes to just 1. I promised everyone

that by weekend I’ll drop below 80 kg and asked that a slaps land on me if that doesn’t happen. To push myself and avoid the slap, I tried to experiment with eating just fruits and protein and guess what? The sugar in all those mano fruits actually converted to carbs (energy) and stored gidigba in my body. One mango should have just been fine and the calories would have been on a deficit but three? That was too much to eat and lose weight. Sha, I’m happy Weekend is still some days away, so, let’s move on to 79 kg in these remaining 4 days. Sorry I didn’t have time to cut, slice and do the proper food presentation.

Green tea breakfast

After a 30 minutes jog, I returned to home workout and recorded it so I can share (Watch video below).
BREAKFAST: green tea
Lunch: 3 mangoes, an avocado
Dinner: An apple, 3 African star fruits and protein.
Fruit lunch isn’t bad but the quantity.

Maybe I shouldn’t completely blame the fruits because actually I only remembered to check my weight after drinking the green tea. The tea in my stomach may have also pushed the scale digits to go up to 81.5 kg. It’s not weekend yet na. Let’s keep moving. Today, I’ll try keep off sugary fruits and just make do with proteins and green vegetables that are not rich in carbs. The struggle is real. However,  thinking about it again, can one cup of tea change the digits on a scale?

  1. Congratulations on your weight loss journey. You are doing great. Remember, carbs are not your enemy, proteins and fats also have energy. There are 4 calories per gram of carbs and proteins, 9 cals per gram of fat. Fruits can be deceptive and evil especially tropical fruits like we have in Nigeria. A medium mango contains anywhere between 100 and 250 calories depending on the size. The avocado – 250 calories in half of a medium size!! so your lunch could well be 600 calories! I would say bulk up with chicken and Vegetables. Very proud of you indeed! I wish you the best. It definitely feels good to look good. Blessings!
