The Burden Of Oral Sex, Should We stop?

The type of images I got, chei! I can't put them here cos this is a family blog.
There are times things happen that make me feel like May be God wants me to do or not to do certain things. I am a fan of Oral Sex. Things seem to be boring when they are not spiced up.
What is the point of doing something you love, if after all the pleasure, you still carry some burden of guilt. I will prefer to do away with any pleasure at all, if it is wrong. I really want to be sure of my destination  before I embark on any journey.

Clam Pastor Wole Oladiyun warns that Oral Sex deglorifies "...May I equally add that men and women sucking their private parts are equally damaging their glories. Demonic partners have done a lot of havoc through this act. Honestly, it is simply unhygienic and dirty."

Apart from that, there was a
post on Linda Ikeji's blog where a man needed advice because he didn't know what to do. His wife  used to enjoy "it" with him, but, suddenly stopped. Reason? She tells him that Going down on him is beginning to feel like a demeaning act to her. She did it while they were younger, but doesn't feel good about it anymore. After reading that post and the comments that followed. I was a bit affected. In a way I started feeling like that woman, but after some weeks, I guess I forgot about it and moved on. *Carry go* Forgetting about it doesn't mean that my questions have all been answered. I still have unanswered questions regarding  the act of CUNNILINGUS and FELLATIO by married couples.

I  left a comment at Linda's blog, hoping that someone would give me a satisfactory answer, instead, there are more insults on the pastor than answers to the question. This morning, I went back to check and with over 200 comments on that post, no one seems to really hit the nail on the head for me. I needed someone who is knowledgeable in this thing to give us a general perspective on the issue, I wanted a very exhaustive scientific justification or condemnation of this act. I wanted a situation where a comment-er will give Bible references that justify or go against married couples carrying out Oral Sex. So many people tried with great comments, But, I still feel there is more to be talked about. I think that by raising it here, I will get a more mature audience that is  kind of affected too, and will comment from their hearts and feelings. (btw,The Indomie noodle recipe I wanted to post is still waiting sha, and when I do that, Let me not hear anyone say Repetition of recipes o. Once there is a change in ingredients, The name and taste also changes.)Lol!

This morning I got a mail that actually prompted my raising up this issue right away:
Read it below:
Eya,ps discuss this topic on your blog.Daddy Adeboye mentioned it @d camp b4 and now, this CLAM pastor? For me,I believe my husband's body is for my pleasure and I'm free to do woteva gives me satisfaction.I can't be married and restricted o! Pastor's bringing in their personal opinion and imposing it on people is very wrong!show me where the bible restricts happenings in matrimonial bed. For me,I feel they are condemning it because in the past(old school) they never used to do it. I personally love to wake my husband up with it and I do not feel guilty. I respect my pastor but on this issue I totally disagree with him!
Sent by Mrs O. from BlackBerry wireless device.

This mail came in while I was reading the many comments on Linda's blog and, I had to stop and start typing.

Another commenter also felt like, if using the mouth is dirty and unhygienic, Then using the hands too is dirty and unhygienic.

In 2012, I went researching a little, and discovered that if semen is allowed into the mouth, it can cause dangerous diseases like Thrush, which is ermmmm true. After reading that, some of us became more careful, and made sure nothing touched our healthy mouths (who wants to be sick?).

Now, come to think of it, MEN LOVE ADVENTURE!!! As Christians, Muslims, and other believers in a supreme being, should we forget this particular "adventure" and focus on our colonial methods?
Is Oral Sex Unhygienic?
Is it condemned by any supreme being?
Do we feel like nothing is wrong with it? **Children, please stay away with your childish comments o, this one is not for you**!!!
Kindly leave a comment that can help us confused sisters.

  1. Exactly, show us the verse because my own bible says NO to sexual intercourse between same sex.It also condemns fornication, adultery and lust.Nothing in my bible says d kind of sex position I should use or what I should and should not touch.Very soon one pastor will condemn foreplay and say just open your wife's leg, finish and close it.Some pastors will also come up and say we should have sex only when we are trying to conceive.please let's not add or subtract to and from the bible lest we face the danger of hell.

Some women act like they hate it because their oga nor dey bold near there with mouth,to even put his joystick there he has to open the window and dare not use ac but fan because the smell from their V is like rotten fish. These women will go about saying they don't like it to console themselves. On the other hand, some people may actually not just like it,I personally prefer to give my hubby because the look on his face when I go down is priceless.

    3. I am a scientist and I can assure you there is nothing "dirty" about the act.

The contents of semen are from the seminal vesicle and the prostate glands and they are sterile (clean). As long as your husband doesn't have an STD, you're fine!

If you find it digusting putting a penis/clitoris in your mouth then why don't you take a shower together first? That way everything is clean and the only odours you'll smell are pleasant shower gels.

If semen grosses you out then you don't have to swallow! You don't even have to allow it in your mouth. If your husband is a gentleman he'll give you a warning before he comes. And you can redirect it to other sexy parts of your body (boobies!) It'll drive your man CRAZY!

Don't knock it till you've tried it :)

  5. Personally, I dnt see much wrong with it. But at the same time I dnt like it. I think I am the only lady who doesn't. I kinda find it disgusting and I never allow my hub down there. I feel irritated for him. He said since I dnt allow him, he wnt allow me...so I pretend like I wnt mind for him but in my mind I am like “Thank God we dont have to go down that road" lol

Like someone said, without it, we still have a great sex life. We spice things by change of scenery, positions, with clothes on, without clothes, while visitors are around, and so on... :-)

So, I am not for or against it hence I have not researched the bible on it. I feel if it makes you feel guilty, stop it. If it doesn't and you are married, Carry go! Trust me, God is more concerned with how you expand His Kingdom, and how you relate with Him. If it bothers you so much, ask the Holy Spirit, if you are born again and filled with the Spirit. That is one of His jobs in our lives. To teach and counsel us. Just listen to Him.

If you are not born again, you are On Your Own!

  7. Personally I believe this issue of oral sex is just a matter of personal opinion/preference. Like some people rightly pointed out there is no where in the bible that it is stated that oral sex is bad. I believe it would have been clearly stated in the bible if it was bad or a sin becos God is not an author of confusion. Do u know there are married women that even feel guilty after making love to their husband's becos already they feel the act of sex is a bad thing due to past experiences or or just the thought that how could something like this be ordained by God.
In marriage the bed is undefiled and whatever u choose to do while making love as long as u both enjoy it and are in agreement then carry go because God has sanctioned it and will not condemn u in anyway for it.
I don't think people should force their own opinions about oral sex on anyone, if u don't enjoy it then don't do it but don't go around condemning those that do it when ur not God and u have no concrete grounds to.
    That's just my take/opinion. Thanks

Heading as they call it to me its a pleasurable thing but truth be told it is also a dirty act in as much as i enjoy receiving it i find it hard doing it so my hubby has no choice when hes in the mood for that i don't stop him but for me doing it is a no no,tried it a couple of times i feel irritated and had to stop. sure you can have great sex without heading that's my opinion

  9. Believe me when it comes to this issue am very confused just like many people. Believe me times are fast changing, many traditional values and methods are being eroded, even dis changes neccesitated what we call the 2nd Vatican council in my church, but how things change, many tinz enunciated in d resolution are now being constantly called to question.
But onething we must bear in mind is dat,God's standard cannot be changed, and He cannever compromise, his standard in solidarity with our changing environment. That being d case one has to resort to d scripture and the scripture always use the term "LAY" when talking about sexual activity then one would ask what is lay,coz am sure just lay can't produce a child.
Dat goes to show the scripture didn't specify d actual position. But just as d same scripture dat told us dat drinking is not sin,but drinking oneself to stupor is. So also I guess there's a limit to our sexual activity, for our sense of limit is one of the things dat distinguishes us from other creatures. Coz u won't in d name of being married have sex with ur wife anywhere and time u feel the urge.
Finally it reduces sex and all its connotations to
First married people(people like me should wait)
Secondly individual preference(be it doggy,catty,69,heading,licking etc)
Thirdly ur sense of limit, dis embodies ur sense of decorum, courtesy and also what is obtainable in ur society.
Finally and d least personal hygiene,I av an uncle who everyoda person to him is dirty and irritates him,he married at age 47,trust me dis issue to him is a no go area.
Btw I only wanted to learn from Ahdaisy as it pertains dis issue, coz of d personnality she has maintained on Lib and dis blog,I presumed she's a pastor's wife.

    1. Loool! Bona dear, I am not a Pastor's wife o. I'm not sure I will even want my hub to become a Pastor. I just take my spirituality and the things of God seriously.

I actually learnt some things from you. We are not animals so there should be a limit to how we express our sexuality. So if your mind feels it is not right, then it's not. Everyone has a conscience and our ‘Humanity' is contained in it. So have sex in ways your conscience allows, as long as it's nothing criminal, and you're married.

      Delete
    2. Personally I am of the opinion that we should do what our conscience feels clear about. There is no hard and fast rule nor any clear cut instruction from the Bible. I personally used to enjoy it, but after sometime I just couldn't stand it, which only goes to show that what excites us sexually can change over time. The irony however is dat with all d condemnation from men of God, a lot of pple will start feeling quilty. But if dat is what will keep your home, pls go ahead.

    3. The Bible says it is not what a man takes into his mouth that defiles him, but what comes out of him... drinking alcohol doesn't defile, but the mental imbalance it produces in you. This means drinking semen does not 'spiritually' defile you. It'll only be a spiritual issue if it produces an ungodly character in you.

The last time i did oral with my husby was when we were still dating,we have been married for a year now but have not tried it.my husby prefer it than love making but i dont like him going down cause to me is irritating. so husby decided that we should just stop it for now till when am ready to xplore and let him explore cause he will not enjoy receiving and not giving.so it all depend on the couples i dont think dere is anywhere in Quran or Bilble where God lay down rules on how to explore our sex life as a couple.

  12. Not married yet, but I feel like when it comes to sex, whatever is comfortable between individual couples is the key. If my hubby & I enjoy having sex doggystyle on the balcony at night does that mean we are "sinners" or "wrong"? Oral sex is something that should be explored by couples in their private time without anyone's(preacher, family, friend or otherwise) chiming in their 2 cents.
I've heard of preachers, pastors & particular religious groups who are against contraceptives because it is against God's word, and this oral sex issue just strikes me as the same vein. What one person believes is wrong and what I believe is wrong are not equal.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I think there are passages in Songs of Solomon that actually promote how couples can enjoy their sexuality and different aspects of sex. I think more Christians need to remove their bias against sex and read the whole of SOS with new adult eyes. Usually garden and fruits are used to refer to female and male private parts.

As an apple tree among the trees of the forest,
so is my beloved among the young men.
With great delight I sat in his shadow,
and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
    (Song of Solomon 2:3 ESV)

a garden fountain, a well of living water,
    and flowing streams from Lebanon.
    Awake, O north wind,
    and come, O south wind!
    Blow upon my garden,
    let its spices flow.
Let my beloved come to his garden,
    and eat its choicest fruits.
    (Song of Solomon 4:15-16 ESV)

With that said, the bible is just an instruction manual, for the believing Christian, our full direction comes from the Holy Spirit in us. If your conscience makes you uneasy, then it may not be for you. But be sure it is the spirit, sometimes, wrong things we learned in the world can distract us from hearing the spirit clearly. Like someone said, God is not an author of confusion. If your head, your husband wants oral sex, and you deny him, you are flouting the bible tenets.

1 Corinthians 7:3-6 : From the apostle Paul to the Corinthians,
The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. I say this as a CONCESSION, not as a command.

At the end of the day, to each their own. Now I have written a blog post :)

Now reading Myne's comment, I can now substitute the words....nah wa for Solomon and queen Sheba!

My intention was not to comment when I came across the posts blogs like Mynes and yours because it is fun atimes just reading other people's comment which I agree to some.

My take on it,is that anything that happens behind closed doors of a legally married man and woman, it's nobody's business! It is strictly between the couples!

For me, whatever I do wt my hubby is just 4 and btw us. Plus, God wldnt want any iSsue btw couple given the sanctity of marriage. What God has joined 2gether.........

I hv never read where the techniques of sex was described in bible. It shld be left to both parties to determine.

That said, the older generation see many things as bizarre, even dog style. An older relative once asked why love shld be made on the floor, what happened to the bed? So I understand the pastors and their views.

Sex also for me is abt giving pleasure to my hubby. So anything I can do 4 him, I go all out. And he reciprocates by giving the best head. It all depends on our views and perceptions.

  17. I will kindly go to the Songs of Solomon and read for myself. Besides reading portions of the Bible to ascertain what sexual pattern is acceptable for married couples, I must say that truly, I ve never liked engaging in any unhealthy form of sex for whatsoever kind of excitement.

In Songs of Solomon, the husband says to his wife:
How sweet is your love, my darling,my bride! The beautiful smell of your love is better than the richest spice(4:10). Your thighs are perfectly curved like jewels(7:1)

And the wife says to her husband:
Let your lips cover me with kisses(1:2), my lover lies between my breasts(1:13), his mouth is sweet. He is my lover and my friend...(5:16) Come, my lover, let us go out to the hills....there i will give you my love(7:11-12)
Pls wives don't get into bed with attitude...do wateva pleases you....marital bed can never be defiled.

  21. This topic of Oral Sex has been on discussion for as long as i can remember from my adolescent age. For me, i loooovvvveeee Oral sex! When i first met hubby (dating), he had reservations about Oral sex, but we talked as friends before we became lovers. When we got married, he was ready to please me in every and any sexual way he could. We have been married for 10 years 5months and wheneva we make love i shiver and trust me, men love it when women are genuinely excited about lovemaking.

Like the other ladies said, do what makes u comfortable, not because everyone is doing it. I think the Pastors r trying to in a way still condemning the act of lesbianism n homosexuality cos hey d matrimonial bed should be undefiled and SEX whether Oral or not should be enjoyed by married couples cos alot of marriages have broken up cos of NO SEX. Some people also believe that for a lady to love oral sex, she would have been in a relationship with a fellow woman aka lesbians which is NOT true. Pastors should come out openly to condemn "anal sex"... eeewwwwww how do people do or take that!

On a personal note, I LOVE ME SOME GOOD CUNNILINGUS and i'll give it right back so there's no cheating. :D

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm glad you brought up this topic Eya. As a Muslim, the Qur'an has been quite specific. It says "your spouses body is yours to enjoy, therefore go unto it any way you see fit, except from the back (anus)"

So you see personally the only prohibition for me is anal sex. Everything else between my husband and I is 100% oky in my book.

I feel some religious scholars condemn the act based on their personal opinions and not actual scriptural fact.

Sex in itself within the boundaries of marriage is an act of worship and any act that will bring joy and pleasure to your partner attracts mercy from the Lord.

So Eya do what makes you comfortable and have fun! :*

  23. Interesting topic, Eya. Four points come to mind.

    1. Oral sex is not 'UnAfrican.' The White man did not create Oral sex. Oral sex is as old as humanity itself and experienced by all races and cultures.

    2. People should do whatever makes them feel comfortable or happy.

    3. There are no religious or hygienic reasons to not engage in oral sex except the ones we enforce on our selves.

    4. It is not a crime or a sin to love oral sex. It is not a crime or a sin to not love it. Each to their own.

  25. Ladies, let's be honest w each other here. The I-am-easily-irritated statement is just an excuse. The real reason lies in ur heart. Maybe u lack the required confidence to let ur man go down there or something. Oral sex is there to b enjoyed so work on watever it is that makes u avoid it. U r missin out on one of d finest things in life! :D

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oral sex is using the mouth to sexually stimulate your spouse's genitals. Oral can be done as foreplay, or to bring about orgasm. As with manual sex, there are no hints of prohibition in the Bible, and many scholars of the Song of Songs are convinced that several passages describe oral sex being performed on both the man and the woman. (Song of Songs 2:3, the woman performing oral sex on the man, and Song of Songs 4:16 and possibly 8:2 for the man doing it to the woman).

One common concern is cleanliness. In reality the genitals of a healthy man or woman are actually "cleaner" than our mouths. The taste or odor of the genitals may put some off, but often this is more of a mental response than a physical one. In fact, many are aroused by the smell of their partner's clean genitals.

Some folks have a strong aversion to the idea of oral sex. Often this is the result of some teaching that is less than accurate, or a negative feeling about the genitals or sex in general. Pressuring such a person for oral sex will only result in arguments and hard feelings. On the other hand, there are those who think they are missing one of the best things sex has to offer if they don't experience oral sex. This is probably due to the influence, directly or indirectly, of pornography. While oral sex can be very enjoyable, it is not the end-all of sexual acts, and there are other ways of producing similar pleasure. Couples who are at odds over oral sex need to give each other some room, and they should each privately examine their feelings about oral sex.

One word of caution medically - blowing into the vagina can be dangerous, particularly if the woman is pregnant.

I wont completely agree with what myne said about the passages quoted from songs of solomon, even if that was the meaning it still doesnt make it right. the fact that solomon wrote about it doesnt make it holy, after all king david slept and eventually married the wife of one of his officers, does that justifies adultery? the act of lesbianinsm and homosexuality was legalise in Sodom and Gomorah in the bible nd hence lead to their destruction does the fact that it happened in the bible makes it right. the bible says 'ye shal know the truth and the truth shall set you free' if you are trully born again then pray for a discerning spirit that will help you to figure out what is right and wrong. all i can say is that 'GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS' because end time is near.

  31. I want to share here, a piece of research done about this whole oral sex matter. The fact that millions of people okay a thing, does not make it right. There are lots of pleasurable ways to enjoy sex with one's husband without the fatal health risks associated with oral sex. Read this:

These practices of oral sex and other sexual practices between husband and wife have nothing to do whether they are consenting or not. It has nothing to do whether they are Christians or not: it has to do with the very nature of the reproductive system as the Creator made us. What happens when certain fluids penetrate areas of the body and these areas are unprotected whether it be at the digestive system level in the stomach, intestines, liver, such as alcohol does, or at the respiratory system level in the lungs, such as cigarettes does? This is just a comparison as to what happens when man seminal fluid enters certain parts of the body where it does not belong - where physiologically, not religiously or morally, it can be proven, it will affect the organs it reaches such as the lung, stomach, liver, etc..

Do I need to go in any further details as to the damage caused by these unclean practices at the physical and physiological levels alone? The Word of God and the sciences of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology are very clear on these practices and it has nothing to do whatsoever whether the person consents or not to give herself or himself to them and even less whether they are Christian or not: these practices are unclean and therefore unholy - cause is always followed by effect.

Although not explained as clearly in the Bible as in sciences, the Word gives the warning, sciences gives the explanation. I am including this research I made on the reproduction system simply to demonstrate how wonderfully the Creator has made us. How when man and woman copulate according to His way, they are protected by an antibiotic called ''seminalplasmin'' produced by man seminal fluid, and that antibiotic is activated in the proper environment of the woman's body and protects both partners against the many bacterias found in the genital parts of both genders and allows life to be protected and reproduced. What happens then for same genders male and male - they have no protection against diseases such as Aids and lungs problems, shorter lifespan and more. Female with female - although not involving male seminal fluid, they run the same risk of bacterias and sexual transmitted diseases...read more here:http://www.adventistonline.com/forum/topics/oral-sex-what-christians-have. You can draw your own conclusions from this piece of research.

But I think yours has a valid question, there are many things modern day has 'created' that the Bible has not provided for (it seems) but I'm certain there's always an answer. And hopefully by the time I'm married I'll find it lol

  36. Lay aside every weight. A weight is a doubt on ur conscience. Finally, brethren, whatever things are noble, good, of good report, think on those things. Masochism is also sex, so why do people think its negative, since the bible doesn't specify the kind of sex to be had. I don't know, but be right in your conscience. If your conscience is fine with it, do it. If not, please do not.

  37. the bible is clear if we read with an open mind and also ask the holy spirit to guide us. the person saying whats in sos does not make it right to have oral sex or whatever and comparing it with david or sodom and gomorrah in my opinion is very wrong. the bible clearly disregards the two latter acts and there were consequences but a whole book of sos.......am sorry darl. sure it would never have been in the bible in the first place if it's not right and maybe at the end, it would have been written, "do not practice" and consequences would have been written.
