OKPA BEANS AKARA

Akara made from okpa beans (Bambara nuts).


This yummy okpa flour has been in my kitchen for a while. After making okpa moi moi, the rest has just been sitting there waiting to
be remembered. Today, I wanted akara balls very early in the morning, mixed the flour with water and just like that, my delicious akara is ready. Akara balls made from okpa beans (Bambara nuts). If you like akara made with black eyed pea, you'll love this. Very filling with that okpa flavour in there. Tastes amazing!

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups okpa beans flour
1 cup water
salt to taste
Oil for frying

DIRECTION:
1. Gradually add the okpa beans to water while stirring briskly to prevent lumps.
2. Leave for one hour.
3. Salt and fry in medium to hot oil.
Serve your homemade akara balls with pap or custard OR just snack.
