Melania Trump and son Barron Trump have officially moved into the White House. The First Lady has lived apart from husband Donald for the past five months after he took

office in January. While the President moved to Washington DC following his inauguration , Melania and 11-year-old Barron chose to remain in New York.The move raised eyebrows, however the first family insisted the decision was taken in order to allow Barron to finish out the school year.Mum and son arrived in Washington on Sunday, in what the media said was their official moving day at the presidential residence. Melania later tweeted a picture of the view from her new home - the sun setting over the Washington Monument. She captioned the snap: "Looking forward to the memories we'll make in our new home! #Movingday"

Ahead of their arrival on Sunday, the First Lady was reportedly arranging to have their private quarters redecorated.
