COUPLES SHARE STORIES OF HOW THEY MET

  • I got a new job, had just gone to work on my first day, and noticed this tall, muscular, calm, good looking guy. Being rather short and plump, I didn’t think he’d notice me. A few weeks later, I was discussing my weekend plans with a few co-workers and he came up to me and asked me where WE were going on Saturday night…I told him my plans and then sort of ignored him. He repeated “where are WE going on Saturday night”? Well…slow me finally caught on the point he is trying to make! We went out that Saturday night and have been together ever since. That was about 10 years ago. We’ll be married 8 years in a few months.

  • My wife and I met at the University. I came home from work to an apartment full of one of my roommate’s friends. One of them, a girl,  walked up to me when I walked in the door and gave me a big hug – as if we were long lost friend. I vaguely remembered her from a previous get-together but recalled that I found her annoying then. When I didn’t reciprocate to the same extent she hugged me, she introduced me to her friend (my wife).  It’s been 7 years.

“The first time I saw my husband, we were sitting at the gate for our flight to Abuja. I remember glancing over at him and thinking, Oh, wow, he’s cuteWhen I got to my seat, I saw that the seat beside me was empty and thought, How awesome would it be if he ended up next to me? Sure enough, a family in his row wanted to sit together so he asked the flight attendant if he could take the empty seat beside me. We spent the entire flight discussing everything. And then, the flight landed.
  • He asked for my number and we went our separate ways. I was certain I would never hear from him again. I thought about him often, but eventually he faded away. A few months later, out of the blue, he sent me  a merry Christmas text message, we hit it off from there and it’s been 6 years and 2 kids.

  • “My car broke down at this never ending Lagos traffic, I was standing helpless, looking for a mechanic and  looking desperately at the car. All I could do was laugh to keep from crying under the hot sun.
He saw me laugh from his vehicle and asked me why I was laughing if my car broke down. My answer? I nodded, So he pulled over and helped me with my car, and we became really good friends from there.
Two years later, we finally realized we’re in love, he put a ring on it. We are married now.

  1. Very long story Ivy and when I share, you too have to share oh.
I lost my Father in SS3 and by God's grace, got scholarship to further my studies. My sponsor wasn't in the country at the time, so, he used to send his son to deliver monies I needed to resume school sometimes. He is 10 years older and I referred to him as "Uncle" and ws very respectful and good around him. I knew that my sponsor has children oh, but they were all schooling abroad. My first meeting with him was when he came to my place and introduced himself and said his Dad sent him some money to give me, which I received and left for school. Very long story cut short, after some years, we became friends and before I knew it, he put a ring, married me and from Uncle B, how to change the name to Honey, or sweetheart or Darling, nor easy oh.
So how did you meet him?
