Pregnant? Classic Baby Girl Name Suggestions For 2016

Being a mother of mostly girls, My choice of names has always been classical. Not many families will name their only son Joseph in 2015, when there are so many funky, modern sounding names. If I named my Chairman Joseph, then you should just know that my girls’ names include the “old school” Margaret. All baby names are cute, however,  I think I prefer classical baby names  for my kids to funky fresh names. I’ll admit that I’m a bit of a classicist when it comes to baby names, so, if you are for unique one in town names, then, maybe I’m not the right person to ask, lol.. I prefer names like Katharine and Margaret my own daughter’s name, to Funkimine and Gadgetstar or Compunerry. But there’s plenty of room to choose something cute for your daughter without going too far into oddball territory. If you’re looking for cute girls’ names, check out one of these options:
Adelaide It was the name of a popular British monarch and an Australian city, but now this name with a “noble” meaning is fresh and fun for a little girl.

Aviva This sweet Hebrew name means “springtime,” and feels absolutely perfect for a vivacious little girl.
Charlie Skip the more formal Charlotte and head straight to this fun nickname. It shares the same meaning as its root — free man.
Clementine Clementine has a lovely meaning — merciful. But it also has that cheerful citrusy vibe, thanks to the small oranges that bear the name. (And don’t forget that old song, “My Darling Clementine!”)
Cricket Actress Busy Philips picked this oh-so-cute insect name for her daughter — and the equally adorable Birdy for her oldest.
Daisy This fun and fresh floral name is gaining popularity, either as a nickname for Margaret or in its own right.
Dixie A popular nickname for the South makes for a short and sassy baby name.
Hazel A charmingly old-fashioned name, Hazel’s suddenly become red hot, thanks to its pick by stars Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, and its usage for the popular heroine from the book The Fault in Our Stars.
Lulu Lulu is one of the cooler double-syllable names that started as nicknames — names like Fifi, Kiki, Mimi and more. It’s a common nickname for Lucy, though it’s becoming popular in its own right.
Poppy This cheerful floral name is just starting to catch on in the U.S., though it’s been a longtime favorite across the pond in the UK.
Sadie Sarah gave life to Sadie, which started out as a nickname of that Biblical classic. It shares its royal meaning, as it means “princess,” just like Sarah.
Wren This sweet songbird makes for an offbeat name choice that works for either a boy or a girl.
Charlotte
Biblical Names: If we all name Favour and Miracle, by 2020, it might be difficult for teachers to differentiate kids in Classrooms.

  2. Stick to Nigerian names. I am glad I have full Nigerian names. I refused to change my name even when I got married due to my brand and pride of origin. There's nothing wrong in having on eof those other names on the side but believe me who knows, your children will thank you in future. Exotic names help abroad especially in the U.S e.g Chiwetel, Boyega in Star wars, Oyelowo IDRIS, sade, Oluchi etc. It will be your testimony believe me
