Should I Insist On Getting A Househelp?

Hi Aunty Eya and my lovely WC readers, pls I want to know you peoples opinion on this matter,I’m a mother of two expecting the third,my hubby says no house help, but one of his brothers lives with us, he’s in his early 20’s and he does help out but there are some chores I don’t like him to do for me, like bathing my girls.

I really need a house help(female),  but, he says he doesn’t want peoples wahala, that any time our kids are on holiday we will travell to his people, who honestly I can say do take good care of us too. and honestly I love going to his people cos they love me and my kids very much as if I’m their child.

my

question is,can being apart from hubby for some time destroy/weaken our marriage, or make it stronger? or, should I insist on bringing a house help and stay with him knowing fully well he dislikes house help, which one is better.

  1. madam persuade your husband to the brim and get a house help ooh. e no easy two kids ke! I am a first time pregga in my 8months and have started looking for a househelp. initially my husband was against it all I did was let him know that getting someone to be helping with the child and house will help me in still taking care of my husband before my child .

  3. Woe betide u if u bring a matured house help. Aside from them being nuisance ur hubby knows d rest. If u must insist just get them young 'assless' 'breastless' 'hipless' etc and if possible a relative of his or yours(for the sake of uncle who lives in the house)u know what I mean or better still get a mama dat comes daily 2 do house chores for u. That solves it.

  4. Lazy Nigerian wives. You want chefs, house help, nanny to satisfy your laziness. What's the job of a wife?

  7. My Hub is like that too, his own reasons being that he scared of us falling victim of possess househelp. I have two kids too even though I am not preg. But I had patient with him talking to him about it gradually any time we are having a really good time, I will find away to raise the issue jokily even though is not easy with me. But thank God we got someone last month. Just have patient with him.

  8. Dave remind me again, what is the role of a husband? The last time I checked it was only financial, and these days some women are even better at providing that. Mscheewwww

  9. I just don't like the solution of you going to his people's place every holiday, that is not sustainable. As someone suggested above, see how you can broach the idea of hiring someone that comes and goes to him. Best of luck

It depends on a womans motive, but u will see it that way cos most of our Nigerian wives are very wicked that's y u tend 2 see it dat way…I know u anonymouses will say its bad, tell me non of ur sisters, aunties etc don't have young gals staying with them? Stop coming here 2 pretend. Child labour ni child labour ko.
