My Baby's vaseline and sheabutter smooth skin
Re photos of my baby at 3 months with his vaseline and sheabutter skin

Re: Photos, Bathing A Baby, My Baby’s Sheabutter/Vaseline Skin.   Hi Anon, I promised to upload a picture of baby’s vaseline skin on the baby bathing post but it cannot upload there so I brought it here. At birth, I started with sheabutter but right now it’s vaseline all the way. This was a selfie taken just four days ago on our way to pick his sisters from School.

A lot of people say that
sheabutter darkens babies’ skin. ANY PROOF FOR US? I didn’t use long enough to know. Because many people are saying it, Iam beginning to believe that it darkens babies’ skin. Maybe we just go with baby oil  to be on the safe side. For lotions, I’m not sure…

See photos showing my baby’s vaseline skin glowing vaseline skin.

Eya and baby’s petroleum jelly skin. I think that lotions cause skin rash on some babies, reason I’ve never used them.

HE IS THREE MONTHS.

  1. Ok, thanks Eya. I didn't know vaseline can be used all over a baby's skin apart from just bom bom area.

  4. Dencia's whitenecious! I heard it is very effective. A trial on ur skin will convince u. No be only 'lighten' na bleaching or lightening. Women and inferiority complex eh. Be contented with the color that God gave our baby jare. I'm out!

  5. I bought them separately. The powder is like 2k lotion 1800 soap 1k, shampoo 2k. It's expensive but I just bought cos it's medicated.

  6. See our bobo, he is sooooo cute. Sheabutter is good for any skin condition or as and can also be used daily to moisturise the skin. Personally I do not like the smell, it has this annoying horrible smell. I must say it works wonders as I use it anytime rashes or spots crop up on my kids.
Blue seal vaseline is very good but I hear all vaselines darkens the skin.

Hi Anon 8pm, try the black palm kernel oil if you don't mind the sweet smell. Genuine one from the village o. It's very good on both dark and fair skinned babies.

  10. pls ma is black palm kernel oil not the same with red oil? if I can get from the village do I tell them to bring me red oil? I' ve live in d state all my life . all I do is ask for red oil from nigeria

  11. Palm kernel oil is different from red palm oil. It's dark. Got by breaking open the palm nuts after taking out the red oil, these nuts are then roasted and processed into the kernel oil.

  15. Look for Disney Bath tub. It has a water thermometer attached to it. At the bottom there are French words (ange' be'be'). Made by Disney.
I think you can find it at baby. item shops.
You 'll see Mickey mouse clubhouse characters on the bath and it's accessories.Wish I know where you stay

  17. Aunty Eya, thank you for this post. Please, what do you use on your baby s hair before combing? My son s hair feels quite hard while combing it. Do you also mix anything with the sheabutter while you used it? How did you make it softer before applying on baby s skin?

  18. My baby is dark and i wanted a shiny black complexion for her. I have used all sort of baby cream on my baby's skin i.e Chicco, Johnson, Sebamed, Boots but they all dint achieve that shiny complexion i wanted. Then some1 told me about mixing sheabutter withVaseline. The result on her skin is FANTASTIC. Her skin glows and is like that of a black american. See steps below if u also want to try it:
    – Mix shea butther with vaseline in same vaseline container
    – Put in a microwave for it to melt
    – Bring out and leave to cool
    – It hardens back after cooling
Your baby cream is ready to use. With this, you dont have so much of the sheabutter smell

  19. My sisters baby is fairer than Eyas baby from when she gave birth to her till now. And she used only shea butter on her skin from birth till she was a year old. When she gave birth I was the one that usually buy the shea butter for her, not only did it make her skin fair but smooth as well even her friends don't believe it's just shea butter.
