Any Good Adoption Homes In Nigeria Please?

Hello Aunty Eya,

I enjoy reading your blog and even though I don’t comment, I read it often. Please I’d prefer to remain anonymous as regards this mail.

My family has been trying to adopt a male child for years now and even after being given a go-ahead from Lagos state about one year ago, we haven’t received any calls from the adoptive homes listed for us from the Lagos state government.

Adopting a child through some other homes that are in the eastern part of Nigeria is very expensive as male children costs from seven hundred and fifty thousand Naira and above while female children go for five hundred thousand Naira.

Please I would like to ask the wives connection readers if there’s any adoption home that gives up kids for adoption (in Lagos or any part of the country and at not too expensive rates), because we are seriously tired of waiting for the Lagos adoption homes (that are not willing to give up kids because they are their major sources of income from kind-hearted people).
Thank you.

  1. Pls be careful with those eastern homes because most of the children are stolen do you people don't get into trouble.

  2. You should not be paying so much to adopt. If you've been registered, have patience, and keep visiting the registered homes you were given till you find a boy you can give a home to. Adoption takes time, it is because many do not realize this they fall into the trap of paying for stolen children or taking in a child that will not fit into their family. Just like TTC do not be in such a rush, and don't look for short cut. Keep praying and keep trying and looking, and God wil provide your own child even through adoption in HIS own time. All the best. HUGS.

  3. Are u catholic? Even if u are not try goin to one near u. Ask for the parish office.
I know a lot of catholic churches have orphanages or support them. Adopting thru d church is usually less stressful.
Even if its not Catholic, u can look for other church-owned orphanges.
    All the best.
