My Ex Shattered Me Emotionally, Now I Am Scared. I Need Advice

Dear Aunty Eya,

My name is T.......... and my number is 0*************. How are you and family? Thank you for giving people like me this avenue to share our thoughts. I'm 22 and just got into a relationship with the best man ever. I mean so far, he's everything and more I asked God for.

The problem is

I'm very scared. My ex shattered me emotionally (we broke up three years ago) in which i'm still healing. I do not want to lose this bf of mine. Please aunty, how to I keep this relationship? How do i stop being scared?

I believe i'm ready to have a fulfilled relationship with this man but fear won't stop tormenting me. I really want to give this relationship my all.

Thanks for posting aunty.

  1. After three years, you still think about a man that didn't care how you feel? Please drop him like hot potatoe and move on with your life. Spend time with your bf so you forget that ex.

It is not that easy to forget ur first love cos some girls love with all their heart and Soul making it really difficult to forget them, I am a living testimony. Dear poster, I know is really hard but God blessed u with the man who know the value of love,so pls, u hv to block ur heart over ur ex and open it to ur new provided he is going to marry u.

  7. Hmmm.. My dear i can say i understand where you are coming from, tye truth is that you have to embrace what the future has for you and enjoy it as each day comes, also it may sound cliche but its the truth, You need to pray to God to mend your heart and give you a new start if not, if this relationship is as good as what you think, then you might destroy it with the past...so first talj to God about it then embrace the new life and new heart, it worked for me

  10. Hi T, your mail has just been published on the blog. I think you need to let go and stop holding onto your past else you lose this good man. Occupy yourself with thoughts of this new relationship and forget the old. It's very possible.
    Hugs.

I'm dating a guy a year younger than me and he is yoruba and I'm ibo. I was told by my yoruba friends that I need to call his friends 'bro so and so' that it's a sign of respect. Pls, is there any other way I can show respect without calling them 'bro' because am not too comfortable with that. Sorry aunty for using this medium to post---Victoria

Calling them bro does it take anything from you... When u work in a service providing coy like a bank or telecomm u will learn to call even a child, madam or oga... Take ur mind off the age thing, and flow along with their concept.
As for the poster, ur case is an issue of the heart... Spend more time with ur present BF, and u won't ve a single thought abt ur past guy.. But no sex oooh! Just do public outings together... Have fun with him, and u will get use to his smile, d other guy will be history! Again, learn not to compare them both
