How To Make Chicken Lasagna From Scratch, Recipe By Moji

A serving of lasagna, serve and enjoy (Let's pretend
the greens cancel the fat :D)

Gather your Lasagna ingredients

Chop your meat of choice, I'm using grilled chicken and chicken franks
(The smokiness of the franks make this)

Chop or grate your cheddar cheese

Chop onions and pepper

Add your milk to a saucepan

Add a tablespoonful of flour while whisking to avoid lumps, allow to simmer and thicken

Add about two thirds of your Cheese to the saucepan, lightly season with salt and pepper and take off the heat

Cheese sauce ready, you can use store bought and skip the last three steps, it's just as good

Sautee your onions and peppers in another saucepan with extra Virgin Olive oil

Add your chopped meat after about five minutes

Add your mixed veggies

After a few minutes...
Add your chopped tomatoes and some salt to season

Bring to a fierce boil and take off the heat

Add your meat and vegetable mixture to the bottom of your baking dish

Spread and add a layer of lasagne sheets

Add another layer of the meat and veg mix

Add cheese sauce

Repeat the same steps

Repeat till you run out of ingredients

I had three layers

Top the last layer with your left over cheese

Pour in a cup of water, cover and place in a preheated oven at 350 for about 40 mins

DONE! If you want a brown crusty top you can take off the lid and place under the grill for 10 minutes

SERVED! Let's pretend the greens cancel the fat

2 Adults and 5 mins later...
ENJOY!

Yes love! Although single ovens aren't as expensive as u may thing. From 4.5k.
Get fine dried sand the one commonly called sharp sand wld do.
Put a dry pot on fire and heat, then pour the sand into the pot(big pot) and heat for very long. Up to one hour or enuff to heat the sand very well. Place ur baking pan into the pot, cover pot and ur baking starts.
Its a very local method but u can get it better over time.
      Cheers

    1. Hi Lizzy, I had this same issue my first time too! Just pour in a cup of water before putting in the oven. The sheets will absorb the water and make them soft.

  13. Great recipe, will try with franks, I usually go with only mince.

@Lizzy, you can also soak the lasagna sheets in boiling water for five minutes before you layer.

Ace Bentley we are tired of you. You are still holding on to the chauvinistic mentality of yesteryears. You blame every problem on women. I feel very sorry for the poor girl that would end up your wife. It's men like you that become a users, baterers, cheats and so on. Read, travel just do something to broaden your mind. You are an ignorant being. Men like you should have been extinct by now. I am really tired of your ignorant, chauvistic, egoistic views. If you have nothing to say just shut the fu*k up and don't type. Nobody takes your advice anyways. I really hope that this your attitude is an act.

Naija people and pepe sef original Lasagna recipe does not contain chilli Italians do not add chilli to their food like we do so Moji I think you should have put the chilli as "optional" so that people who are seeing this for the first time will know and the best meat for lasagna is ground beef.
