Sapele Kpomo Sellers Pumping Kpomo Fat With Embalming Fluid?

Hello Aunty Eya, please inform your Sapele readers that some kpomo sellers were arrested for injecting their kpomo with embalming fluid before soaking in water to make the kpomo look
big and fluffy. They confessed to Health officers at Sapele, Delta State. For lovers of fat kpomo, be careful!!!

  2. Chai, how are we sure this is happening in Sapele alone? Even if it was, with this news now? application of embalming fluid may just go viral.

I remember when my family stopped eating frozen chicken cos we heard they were preserved with embalming fluid. When I coukdn't verify the story, we started eating again, now this. Dead body injection?

What is vegetable soup without kpomo? Me I like that soft fat one eh,What can one use in place of kpomoooooooo?

Dear food stuff sellers in Naija. Money is not everything. Life comes first. If everyone gets poisoned and dies, who will now buy your goods? Almost everything is adulterated. What can one do now?

  7. I wasn't really surprised to read this...we are in Nigeria afterall.

After one week everybody will forget..life goes on and so does ponmo consumption. A good substitute like someone wrote above is cowleg (bokoto) and also the skinny brown ponmo.
