Excessive Farting After Giving Birth To Baby

Excessive farting after birth also known as postpartum gas

Good day Aunty Eya.
Please I have a little  problem. Ever since I gave birth, I’ve been having this excessive farting problem. Messing, gassing all over the place. I pass smelly

gas every 10 min or less. I thought it was as a result of the after delivery constipation I had. Even after  visiting the white house, I will still start passing smelly gas almost immediately.

I guess my
system is so dirty. Please how do I detoxify cos it’s becoming embarrassing. remember I’m breastfeeding please.

Secondly, since giving birth,I haven’t been able to take proper care of my skin. Please readers.recommend a good quality cream for me and the cost. I used clear essence but it seems there are so many fake ones in the market. I’m dark (chocolate) with normal skin (not oily not dry). Thank you.

What can I do about excessive farting after giving birth?

  5. D cause of d excess farting is becos u ddnt sit down on hot water after birth, well its not too late. Sit dwn regularly on hot water for atleast 1 Wk or more, sit on a small kitchen chair and learn to close ur legs tight. Gud luck.

  7. Farting has got nothing to do with seating on hot water. Farting has to do with what you eat or drink.
The constant and smelly farts is caused by what u eat for example pap, milk and oats which lots women that just give birth eat almost everyday to help with breast milk.

Also this can be ur system reacting to you now eating all the things u stopped eating when pregnant. For example if u stopped eating beans because u couldn't stand it when pregnant and now the suddenly have been eating lots of it.

2.Bad blood stores in the stomach after birth cause farting
    solution:
1.stop using milk for some time or use small amount
2:drink hot tea nd hot water witout milk
3.set on hot water nd salt
4.if is not long u give birth press hot water on tummy.
5.eat alot of white soup (nsala in igbo) only that it wil add more water to ur breast.

Farting has nothing to do with not doing sitz bath. I did sitz bath for 3weeks and I still fart, I attribute it to diary products coz I was 70% vegan before pregnancy. My boy is 5weeks but the fart is not as bad as before coz I don't take tea most nights again.
    Give yourself time,it'll stop.
As per skin, my Shear Butter has never failed. I also double it as hair cream and massage cream. My mom is considering switching coz my skin is just super hot to behold plus the stretchmarks on my waist are rapidly disappearing. Did I say that hubby use it too and its partof my baby cream too. ShearButter+Coconut Oil+Olive Oil = Skin deep beauty
PS: please take supplements.pregnacare breastfeeding is good.

  12. Debbie, are you dark or light skinned? Am light skinned and I once tried this combo and less than a month, I was as dark as Wande Coal…lol!

  13. Hahahahaa lwkmd @ Wande Coal, choi!you just made my night.
Am a bit fair, a little above chocolate. I'd say consistency is the thing coz when you I first started, it felt like my skin wasn't getting any better but over time (1+ month),the subtlety of my skin encouraged me greatly and pregnancy hormones also added to my glow.

  15. Depends on where the fart is coming from. If it's from the anus it's the food ure eating. Usually nursing moms are not likely to take much fruit or veggies. U could easily be constipated. If it's from the vagina pls see ur gynae. It could be due to bad stitching /episiotomy. That one is the worst. U will need to act fast.

  18. Nice talk……you ladies are really helping. Keep it up. Am 4weeks after birth n I didn't do most of the hot water stuff but as I started doing them…..things became better and my body started healing from inside. The fart became stronger ,then I knew we were making progress. I never knew its a gradual process to heal after birth.

  20. No it's not too late but te farting would have long stopped if you had used hot water on your veejayjay. Boil much water in say a big kettle, add some cold water to reduce the hotness so it doesn't burn. Now you squat in your bathroom with legs apart, get a scoop, fetch that hot water and continue to splash until it's finished, repeat morning and night until you feel different. Not warm water o, I mean hot. The very first day you do this, if that water is hot enough, you'll see some difference, will feel much better.

  21. Every new mom farts after giving birth, when you splash hot water, it helps the blood to clear out fast leaving your system clean so, the farting stops in a matter of days.

  22. Eya, Your advice is very helpful. For me it's almost two months now and I still do my sitz bath, my tears is still healing but no bleeding but I still fart a lot. I want to believe it's the diary product im taking. But is it too late to still do the hot water procedure you just described? Please advise!

  24. HELLO, am a mom of 6 weeks+, JUST LIKE THe LADY SAID, depends on where you are farting from. from anus , its diary foods cos i have it too. if its from vjj then its def hot water solution. u can do squat and splash and also do sitz bath especially if u have a suture. On ur skin u can try bio oil carrot soap. its fantastic.

  25. I took a lot of grape fruit juice alternating with warm water lemon drink every morning on empty stomach and that helped a lot. I had read it reduces the alkalinity in the stomach following much intake of dairy foods…

  26. Good morning ma, I gave birth 8 weeks ago, initially I was not having vagina fart but after my stitches opened and was repaired I started having it, please can I do this hot water solution if the wound is fresh?

    • I had a terrrrible tear, it go loosed, hot water sit up couldn’t help me coz aside from the fact that the tear was terrible , I have a very delicate skin… Omo… I had to be opening my pekus for my hubby to press it with hot water mixed with salt and detol, before I it now got better. Bodies are different, know your body and know the kind of treatment works for you. Some people will give you time frame that your body needs to heal, but the truth is ,they do not have nor know your body, they are giving prescription base on their own body. Someone told me the highest time it would take me to heal was 6 weeks. Hmmm… It me 4months for the wound to heal(even with my oga special hot water pressing twice a day and siting in the water) .

  27. Joy, Please explain to your Doctor that after the tear opened and got stitched again, you started to have vaginal farts. It's not normal. Try the keep up with the sitz batz too. The heat should help ok. You'll be fine.
