My Husband Grants Permission, What Should I Do?

Hello Aunty Eya and wives connection blog readers. I joined you al just one month ago but have learnt a lot. Thank you all. We had a little argument with my husband yesterday about the way he passwords his phone and Ipad and his increasing late night texting on the phone. It was ugly and we said hurtful words to each other (I'm sorry).

While talking,
I expected that he apologized or removed the password but it's obvious he doesn't care about how I feel. I accused him of indulging in dishonorable relationships with girls and then he says " Am I stopping you?

This is a husband who came back from trips, twice with incomplete condoms packs hidden in the pocket of his suit carrier.

When a husband grants permission for his wife to do whatever she wants, what should she do?

Why are you still asking when he has granted you permission. Do whatever you like since he doesn't care. Enjoy your life now or never.

  6. It was a rhetorical question o! Pls don't do anything u'd later regret. Develop a warfare prayer strategy for your marriage and adopt a quiet spirit. God will come through for you.

He didn't mean it literally, so find something to occupy yourself, so as to stop bothering yourself.

  10. Abeg o...which kain devilish permission be that? yes it is devilish cos he is giving you a rope to hang yourself. Just pray for him. Talk to him when he is calm. But dnt give urself stress cos of it.

You can also pretend to be starying away and see his reaction...but pls have proof that you did not really stray away o...before it becomes your qord against his...

  11. Too funny. Permission indeed!!! Please DONT take him serious o. Nothing like a red blooded Naija man giving his wife permission to cheat on him.
When katakata blows your in-laws won't accept that you were given permission to cheat and your parents would be too scandalised to even come to your defence.

Unless he it tired of the marriage and is looking for a surefire way of getting rid of you.

My advice, keep calm, be a good wife, be especially nice to him and PRAY.

  12. When one hears things like this, one can only but wonder the history of the marital relationship. What was the circumstance of your getting married to this man? cos that statement made it look like he really doesn't see you as his wife and as his own and he doesn't really feel you guys owe any form allegiance whatsoever to each other.

It's a serious statement. Take it as serious as it is. I'd like to know what your reply was when he said that. You know, wisdom is the mother of all things. I would like you to ask God for wisdom mainly. Wisdom in your choice of words, wisdom in your actions etc. Pray for wisdom for him too.

Is there anything you do to him that would make him make such a statement? Just check. Cos that statement isn't ordinary. Have a talk with him later. Watch your tongue this time. Don't use hurtful words. Just use the wisest words. Go back to the vows you both made. Remind him of the vows. Remind him of what 'marriage' means and what being 'married' means. Remind him of how your body belongs to him, and his' to you and not 'everybody'.
In all, keep calm and be wise. Ask God for wisdom. Very necessary.

I'm sorry, but how can a shattered and broken hearted woman even be advised to be extra nice to a mean husband? Is that advice from God? Isn't this the reason some women endure DV? Cos they r trying to be extra nice and hope dat it will work d magic. Please, with all due respect, I don't believe that. Pray to God 2 give u wisdom on what to do basically. U will be doing extra nice till he infects u with HIV, u will still be doing extra nice on top dat one? How na? Pls pray to God to give u wisdom. I don't belive in praying 4 him 2 changes. Wisdom is what is most important as Jay said.

  21. I sill like the mind game.............. Act the two can play script. If you have a girl friend you talk to a lot, save her name to something sexy and always make sure she flashes you while you pick even if its for one sec and stay 20 mins on the phone. Na him go call family meeting. In all never cheat on your husband.

  22. My dear, relax ur mind and pray! Mehn dat man must be so mean to make such statement but you as a wife should knw dat dat is not right. If both of you misbehaves who among you wil den attract God's mercy to dat family. I knw its not easy but ask God for his wisdom on this.talk wit ur huby wit love wen he's in a good mood. Live ur life to the fullest but remember God. Just be calm, pray and watch God do his wonders.

    @Patsy calm down na haba!
Poster please did you guys really wed? Azin traditionally and/or otherwise? I'm just wondering why the man that said 'I do' to you wouldn't mind you cheating on him.
Be extra nice to him for what? No go contract HIV when you are being 'extra' nice o. Stay very far away from that man, he is cheating, its obvious! Don't even bother trying to find out who he is cheating with, just ask God for divine direction because this one has passed 'be careful'!

  24. Be the honorable wife... Do not follow his path, he will sure regret someday and will be on his kneels.

Hearing a woman cheat is unacceptable by even the whites mans society norms least to speak of we Africans.

    Be wise.... Nuff'Said!

Poster I do not agree you cheat so I suggest u pray to God to heal every bruised part of ur marriage. Also pray that ur husband will stop being unfaithful to you and that fire of love should be restored in ur home IJN. Amen

Don't cheat. Simply pay less attention to him, to save yourself wahala! Indulge in things u like, babe if you have a BB fone, resume pinging like mad, and giggle while doing it, even if say u no dey ping anybody, just be super busy so suddenly. Na e go call u talk to you asking you what's wrong that he no longer matters to u . But dnt cheat. Just form cheating. Lol

My dear, i had the same experience. when i found and presented evidence of my husband's affair to him barely one year after our wedding, instead of apologising, he told me he has never stopd me 4rm cheating and that i should go ahead and do my own bt i should make sure i dont throw it at his face.

I was 22 and as at then, It hurt so bad and if i had d guts and didnt love my husband, i would have cheated but i realized that it was the devil speaking through him. thank God i now have a little baby to focus on. I just keep praying that one day he'll become a better man. untill den, na me and my pickin.

Dear poster, please find some things to occupy your mind. Cus if u dcide to cheat and it blows in your face, not even your mum will support you.
