NIGERIAN BANANA PANCAKES RECIPE

Here is how to make Banana pancakes. I enjoyed making these pancakes because they were made without sugar. I sweeten my banana pancakes with just the ripe bananas so, for me, there is no need for sugar unless you really want your banana pancakes very sweet then you can add a little honey, some sugar, or any sweetener that you chose to use.

MY BANANA PANCAKES MADE WITH SUGAR FOR THE KIDS AND WITHOUT SUGAR FOR ADULTS

Firstly, I made the first batch of pancakes for adults without sugar. We all enjoyed it but the kids asked for sugar in their pancakes, so I had to add 3 cubes to their banana pancake batter after making ours.

I didn’t taste the sweetened pancake though, but the kids cleared their plates and asked for more.

Pancakes are among the fastest meals to cook. They cook so fast and are best served hot. Anyone can make good pancakes with very few, affordable ingredients.

INGREDIENTS FOR NIGERIAN BANANA PANCAKES

For these pancakes, I used the following ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of powdered milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs

 Process for making Banana pancakes

  • I added the milk, salt, and water to my sieved 2 cups of flour.
  • Then mixed very well. With the half glass of water.
  • I mixed the batter to a light consistency.
  • Next, I added the blended bananas and stirred very well before adding the whisked eggs.
  • After mixing the banana pancakes batter very well, I placed my greased nonstick frying pan on the stove, turned on the gas, and poured in some banana pancake batter. Let it heat up before adding another layer of batter.
  • Pancakes cook fast, once it starts to brown, I flip with a spatula and let the other side brown too before removing from the hot pan. Remember to cook in low to medium heat to prevent the pancakes from burning without cooking through.
  • While making these Nigerian banana pancakes, I ensured that the frying pan is greased again after taking out each batch of cooked pancakes.
  • Feel free to sprinkle some honey on your banana pancakes and enjoy if that’s how you like them served.

That is how we make Banana pancakes. Enjoy with family and loved ones.

  5. Hi Yetunde, sorry I'm just seeing this now. Hope my reply is still needed. Soak in warm water like an hour before cooking or you burn lightly over flames before washing and cooking.
