A Memoir From The Past

Good day blog fam!

I have been fighting insomnia for about four months now, this morning as I rolled

awake on my lonely bed listening to Classic 97.3 FM a lot ran through my mind; but this peculiar one stuck and struck.

Have you ever frolicked with the idea of re-living your growing up days? Remembering those days got me startled.

From TV programs to Music, Books, Places & sports I had a great recall of events from my past.

Here’s a list of a few stuff I recalled and reminisced about:

TV
-Things fall apart on NTA
-Behind the Cloud & the Nosa character
-Adventure of teddy Roxbury
-Moonlighting
-Pigeon street
-Fraggle Rock
-Sesame Street
-Sunday Rendezvous
Tele Match
-Cock Crow at dawn
Kidi vision 101
-Voltron

BOOKS
-Chike and the river
-Eze goes to school
-The Drummer Boy

PLACES
-Book Shop house Lagos Island
Batta (opposite Apogbon-CMS)
-National Theater
-Sheraton Hotel
-Mile 12 market
-The Old & sane festac town
-Western avenue, Surulere.

MUSIC
-Alex Zitto (tickle me)
-Mike Okri (Rhumba)
Evi Edna Ogoli (Rirovera, look before you cross)
-The Peacocks (Edequansa)
-New Edition, Keith Sweat, Milli Vanili, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins.

BEVERAGE
-Crush
-Tandi guranda
Limca
-Dr Pepper
Then Lagos & Nigeria was less of a hustling cradle, here we are today all just socked in the quagmire of survival….. Hmm, now I just remembered The famous Anenih. We were all taunted only by his thought, but today Nigeria can boast of far more deadly criminals than Anenih.

On a lighter mood here on the blog, I’ll love you to share with us what your favorite past has been, Anything…. Absolutely anything! Just share it, hope to find more of those I missed out from my list and hope to learn what my generation never saw. Happy Workers’ Days!

  1. Happy Workers Day Ace. Have You Seen a Doctor about that insomia?
What helps me is gyming at night. I work out so much that when I get home, I am too exhausted to stay awake. Without hitting the gym at night, I can't sleep too.
