Ingredients For Puff Puff by Ahdaisy

I am used to doing ‘eye’ measurements but this should do.
  • Flour 2 cups
  • Yeast (quick rise)2 teaspoons
  • Sugar 1/4 cups (less or more depends on your taste)
  • Nutmeg (I prefer to grate it myself. I dunno why but i feel it taste better than the packaged one. Truth is, it might be just my mind)
  • Warm water 1 1/2 cups (or more but the batter should be not too thick and not runny)
  • Salt A pinch (optional)

Direction For Making Puff Puff by Ahdaisy

1. In a mixing bowl, combine all your dry ingredients and mix very well. Make sure the nutmeg is grated well and all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

2. Add the warm water and mix with a wooden spatula.

3. Cover with a table cloth, or foil, or cling film (I used this cos my foil had finished. But I don’t think it’s the best option as it makes the bowl so air tight). Keep for 1-2 hours. but one hour is ok with this particular yeast. I don’t know of others.

4 Fry in hot oil. You can use an ice-cream scoop if you don’t know the hand technique. Reduce the heat a little to allow the inside cook nicely.

Serve and enjoy.

Warning : if you are watching your weight, make it once in a long while and make it when you have hungry people around so that you don’t eat it alone. Also try not to buy the ingredients in bulk so that you don’t get tempted to make it every day.
