How To Coat Chicken, Serve With Fries And Dodo

How to coat chicken, serve with DODO. Chicken can be coated with bread crumbs or flour before frying. I prefer coating with bread crumbs. Fresh fish can also be coated with

bread crumbs before frying. Chicken can be marinated before coating and frying, or salted and boiled before frying.

Ingredients:
  1. Chicken
  2. bread crumbs
  3. soya oil
  4. salt
  5. potatoes chips
  6. ripe plantain

  • First crack eggs into a bowl.
  • Dip washed and salted chicken in the eggs  before rolling on breadcrumbs.
  • Rub the egg wet chicken very well in the eggs.

Then deep fry in oil till brown and crisp.

Tasty dish, well loved by both children and adults. For those who can’t eat tomato ketchup, poached eggs will do.
Enjoy!

  1. Thanks Lahmow, I dry all my left-overs from bread, except hot dog bread because, I don't know why that doesn't dry well for me. For left overs from French Bread, Wheat Bread and even flour bread, (french bread dries even faster than the rest) I dry very well in the oven and then pound or grind. That way I always have a big bag of bread crumbs at home and do not need to buy already made ones.

I haven't tried grilling coated chicken, but, I think you can,

  3. I love chips but I prefer them almost dry and biscuit-y, almost like pringles. I cut them in equal thin stripes and then I deep fry till it's dry or I see a hint of browning. Then it's put in my sieve to drain the oil and then I sprinkle salt or Benny spice(my new go to spice cos of it gives it a whole new flavor).
For my chicken, again I've noticed they taste so good when I cook em with spices and leaving in the broth for quite a while to soak up the spices a bit more and then I fry.
Eya, pls, is it possible to teach us how to bake cake, meat pie as well as coatings for the cake via ur step by step instructions and pics? I will really app that. Tnks. Creative Mom

  7. My dear sis, cooking good food alone does not make one a virtues wife. I pray for the grace to balance it out at all times. Thanks for making my head swell.

  8. The chips looks mushy. If u want crisp choips, cut d potatoes thinly, then blanch in hot boiling water for 3mins, drain and let it cool then u fry in hot hot oil. This way u'll get a very dilicious and crispy chips.

  12. The benny spice can be found anywhere in the market I think. You can buy the satchet but I prefer buying the wholesale version of it that comes in a mini carton. Trust me, u'll want a bit of the benny spice on ur chips and because of u eya, I am going to prepare chips with salad and ur coated chicken for my dad's birthday next 2mrw. So tnk u for the coated chicken recipe, will def try dt out. Another spice u might want to try out is mivina and maybe ground garlic by spice supreme(for me, this is a must have). Got to go guys, my baby is screaming to be fed. Creative Mom

  14. Totally agree anonymous. The chips do look mushy and filled with oil . I really can't eat my chips this way cos I'll feel I'm packing on the pounds.
I'm just hearing abt blanching in hot water for the first time! Hmmmm. Reminds me of an episode of a series I watched some time back when the guy who was training to be a chef mentioned that when they were taught how to prepare chips, it took a whole semester!! Just chips!!! So, in addition to what anony said, frying in fresh oil(straight from its bottle) is also best. U can store in a plastic after frying to be used specfically for frying chips cos I've noticed dt flavors from fried like plaintain, yam, fish etc just kills the taste. So much on chips!!
