Let Me Tell You Something About Loans, Grants, Credits; My experience growing up

Iya shade is one of the most hardworking women I have known in my life. She was a hustler! My mum was a landlady, the popular title given in a typical 9ja household. But she never allows that get to her.
Come rain, come shine, 41days after childbirth, she was back to hawking her wares. My dad was always ashamed on her behalf. She no send am.
Her first business was palmoil. She started with kegs and bottles, hawking the streets of Alausa. Business was booming, everyone wants epo Iya shade(Iya shade's palm oil). Demand became high with limited supply and cash. We had too many neglected orders.
My mum decided to expand, she collected money from all and sundries, and began to roll in drums. Wow! Her business wore a new look, we could meet client's and home demands and lived well....
Wait for it.............................
After 2months, I was barely 12 years old when we woke one morning to

Dress to kill him at home, not outsiders, not house uniform everyday

File photo courtesy: Doopie.

DRESS TO KILL YOUR MAN AND NOT OUTSIDERS. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE GOING OUT BEFORE CARING ABOUT HOW YOU LOOK! Let him return from work and meet you looking sweet and refreshed.
Ok, you as a woman, when your husband dresses well and looks good, don't you feel something? When your husband is very careless and unkempt with his looks, do you like it? Not to talk of men that are well wired to be moved by what their eyes see whether at home or abroad.
See, It's very easy for very busy mums especially full time housewives to start depending on robes,  boubou,  big gowns and all kinds of lose and free clothing because that's what keeps you comfortable considering you are not going to any office or attending an event. Eventually that daily same look becomes a lifestyle.

Sharon O, in the enlightening post below, encourages women too look their best even at home.  A lot of women have lost their homes because they did not pay attention to their looks, they got so carried away with caring for the family that they forget, they are supposed to be their hubby's babe.

As wives one of our primary assignment is to be our hubby's hot chick and not his mummy.
Most times we don't care about how we look at home, we only forcus on the task at hand. but when is time to go out(office/church) we will spend 2 hours dressing up for people outside to enjoy our beauty, just to show off our latest dresses "notice me" But our man, the reak owner of our beauty  only see us in house uniform hoozing our sweat smell after all we've been working all day "she bi na house I dey".

What we fail to realize is that those yeye girls, husband snachers, are always looking hot every minute, the perfume they spray can draw any man's attention to them but we are so comfortable, carrying Mrs..... about, while the girls are parading themselves in front of our husbands with their beautiful looks and dresses daily. And when he comes home, he meets mummy........and not baby....or sweety....

My sisters, it is time for us to wakeup and start looking our best at home, I met a woman, who was sleeping with a married man, and we got talking one of the point I got from her was the fact that  the man looks the way she dresses, she told me, I wear bum shorts, sexy cloth, makeup and long hair and papa loves it, but that is wife na so so wrapper. we are talking about a man in his 70s. my question is, what will your young husband do when he comes across such women, they are every where looking for a home to enter, most of this girls don't go for single guys oooo, wedding ring is number one qualification they look at.

Am not perfect but, my husband do tell me that when ever his faced with such girls, he compare me with them and most times, I get better marks than the girls, he told me he will first start from her boobs, to her finger nails. he will check every part and finally conclude, my wife is still better.
If you are the type that loves comfortable dresses, then get nice sexy ones that will show your figure and make a BOLD  statement to your husband that you are still take away, and not those loose dresses that won't show your figure. Yes it is good to wear loose dresses too but you can spice it up by getting a short sexy ones, at least while you are at home and is just him and family if you are ultra conservative about revealing too much. In any case, who say short and sexy means nudity! Be sure not  to turn you to an old woman over night cause of kids. See those husband snachers spend money to look good, if he won't give you, save from feeding money, go and buy bend down select, watch them well with hot water and wear.

Please dress to kill at home, stop wearing house uniform, they don't look nice on you. it gives you same look, sunday to sunday nothing to remind him of the lady he fell in love with. see if you don't want those yeye girls out there to steal your man, start dressing good at home.

Some wives, because their husband is cheating on them, they turn to over night old women in the name of praying, fasting and born again, instead for them to wake up and look good, they now tie scalf every minute, makeup gone, ear ring gone, lovely hair styles no more, my dear stopppppp!!!!!,  Don't stop living cause you see him with another woman. I think that now that he cheating on you is even the best time you should live and enjoy life. live your life, dress well, be happy for you, look good, eat at the right time. when he sees you looking hot and happy that's when his senses will come back to his head and realize what he is missing. but if you because you heard or see him with another woman, then you change your look and become miserable and you are running from one prayer mountain to another my dear he will not see you. the only question he will be asking is, how did I even marry her? abi she use otumokpo on me. mind you the babe outside is looking hot and you allow sadness to steal your beauty cause you are praying and fasting. sweetheart he won't come back, the prayer needs action from you.

Am not saying is wrong to pray and go to church in other to win a lost husband, my take is as you are doing that, you take care of you, just to let him know you are still in town and presentable, am not saying start wearing dresses that will show your nakedness but dress well, look good, Don't use cry make yourself ugly. The ladies he is seeing outside are looking good and hot for him, why not do same.
And for those whose husbands have not tasted outside, please don't allow them use dressing to steal your man, dress to kill for him at all times.

How Nigerian Petrol Attendants Cheat You In Filling Stations and precautions to cut the cheating attendants

Image result for nigerian fuel attendants

With the recent high cost of living in Nigeria, The rise in the price of petrol from ₦86.50/L to ₦145 Naira/L still leaves a heavy toll on Nigerians, most  have gotten used to the excruciating fact that a litre of petrol now ₦145 Naira.

Sadly, as if the skyrocketing price of petrol isn’t enough, the ‘friendly’ fuel station attendants have found numerous tricks to add to their regular income, and undercut the customers who at the first place are paying through their noses.

The nefarious activity perpetrated by petrol attendants nationwide has gone unnoticed by many motorists as they drive into the filling stations to fill their tanks.

Fuel Station scams are not something new. There are plenty of foul plays which can leave you cheated at a fuel station.

Your onion

In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people, there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu.. Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and many died.
The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this, he did find the flu virus in the onion. It obviously absorbed the bacteria, therefore, keeping the family healthy.
Now there is a P. S. to this for I sent it to a friend in Oregon who regularly contributes material to me on health issues. She replied with this most interesting experience about onions:
Thanks for the reminder.
I don't know about the farmer's story...but, I do know that I contacted pneumonia, and, needless to say, I

FREEZING GUIDE: HOW LONG TO KEEP YOUR FOOD FROZEN IN THE FREEZER

how long to keep Frozen foods
Frozen food in a frosty freezer.

Freezing means that we can prepare food in bulk, and can make the most of foods that are in season like now vegetables like ugu leaves (fluted pumpkin) are in season are less expensive. If you have constant electricity and your freezer gets frosty, defrost every 6 to 12 months. If the freezer is opened often like in large households, the frost builds up often. Your freezer can become a black hole if it is a very large one and you just keep adding until things disappear to be discovered years later and thrown away- I don't think that can happen in Naija sha with this epileptic power supply.

The freezing chart below is just a guide, make sure you use frozen things/foods within the recommended period of time because storing soup for instance for longer than 2 months is not the best.

FREEZING TIPS:

  • Once frozen food is thawed, never refreeze it because it may cause food poisoning and may not be the same. Look at ice cream for instance, once it's thawed and frozen again, it becomes crystallized and annoying.
  • Freeze soups in airtight plastic containers. transparent ones are the best as you don't need to open to see what soup is in there. Freezer bags and aluminium foil containers with lids (the party takeaway containers) are also good for freezing.
  • Some foods should not be frozen; hard boiled eggs will become rubbery, Fresh whole eggs will expand and break, Vegetables with high water content will spoil, yoghurt will separate, custards, akamu/ogi pap, mayonnaise, and food containing gelatin cannot be frozen.
  • Herbs and spices lose their flavour after 2 weeks in the freezer.
  • If your freezer has so much, label things with a permanent marker and if you can, add the date when it entered the freezer.

FREEZING TIMING FOR DIFFERENT FOOD:
1-2 MONTHS:

KNOW YOUR COOKING TERMS

These are cookery terms we come across daily, in the kitchen, market or at the dining.

  1. SIMMER:
To cook liquid, or food over low heat, below boiling point. The surface of the liquid will be moving with a few small bubbles.
  2. AL DENTE:
An Italian phrase used when Pasta and sometimes vegetables are slightly underdone, still with some bite. This is how pasta should be cooked, a little bit underdone, not very soft.
  3. GLAZE:
To glaze is to brush a substance over food to give it some shine, could be jam or beaten egg. Like meatpies are glazed with beaten eggs, that's why they look shiny when baked.
  4. PARBOIL:
To partially cook in boiling water before some other form of cooking, Rice is parboiled to reduce starch before the main cooking.
  5. MARINATE:
To flavour or tenderize food especially meat by leaving it covered in seasoned liquid for some time before cooking.

THE REASON YOUR SPAGHETTI SPOON HAS A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE

The spaghetti spoon in your kitchen is way more useful than you thought, it's not just for scooping out or serving already cooked spaghetti. I always thought that the hole was there to drain water but that's not all... That hole in the spoon holds the recommended portion for 1 serving of spaghetti , that's for those interested in eating the right portions and losing weight. Usually, I just cook the entire pack of spaghetti, with the best intentions of eating the leftovers  the next day. However, that old

HONESTLY, I WISH I WASN'T A WORKING MUM

When I was a little kid growing up in the North, my mom didn’t work outside of the home. Instead, she stayed home with me and my sisters, playing with us and cooking every meal we ever wanted to eat, teaching us things, reading the yellow hard cover "my book of bible stories' with us and prying along, caring for us, and when we got older she dusted her certificate and went back to work as a staff nurse at a hospital. She would “go back to work” eventually, but while we were small, she was a full-time parent. When I was preparing to have my own child, I wasn’t sure if that was something that I wanted or not. Ultimately, the financial realities of my working class family meant that it wasn’t really a decision I had to make, because my family needed me to be working to sustain us in this economy. And to be honest, being with my son 24/7 and having nothing else that I had to do during the lengthy postpartum period made me feel antsy and weird. When I started working, and especially when I started working on a  schedule, it

HOW TO COPE WITH A SUPER SPORTS; AFRICA MAGIC LOVING HUSBAND

Hello my able wives connecion tribe and Aunty Eya, I feel like the whole world is collapsing, coming right down on me. When I met my husband, I knew he was the one. I married him after two years and promised him I would stay with him as long as he never cheated or hit me, this I said to him because I was in an abusive relationship before I met him. I knew he was lazy when I married him but I never thought it would get this bad. We have two beautiful daughters  who I love with every bit of my being, and I am now seven months pregnant. This pregnancy was a surprise. I was not happy when I found out and it took me a long time to get used to the fact that I was going to have another baby again in this tough, no tomatoes, no fuel economy. My husband has never helped with either child. Since he got fired from his job, He is too busy searching for another job in all the wrong places or sleeping on the couch with Super sports or Africa Magic Yoruba.

NIGERIAN GOLDEN TOMATOES

tomato scarcity in Nigeria

In Nigeria today, tomatoes might be more expensive than gold. What is really happening? These are times when most Nigerian women pray our hubbies go do the shopping because no amount of house upkeep allowance will be enough if your family consumes tomatoes a lot; In salads, stews, egg sauce etc.

Why did tomato become so expensive all of a sudden? This rainy season is when there should be tomatoes everywhere rotting in baskets beside market women. What is going to happen in December this year? Then we'll all need tomatoes in bulk for Christmas and New year celebrations? Hope a basket won't sell for hundreds of thousands of Naira oh?  Na small small e dey take start. You know I
