Nigerian moi moi
Moi moi dinner for my weight loss journey.
Yes! the digits are still dropping and I'm even a bit worried "I hope it's not rapid because I know first hand the disadvantages of losing weight too quckly. Been there, I saw the wrinkled forehead and regretted. Thankfully I gained it back and the wrinkles disappeared. The sagging skin wahala is another disadantages. When weight is lost too quickly, the body doesn't have enough time to adjust. The skin loses water and fat that initially filled it up, cannot adjust that quickly and begins to be sad and wrinkle. Losing slowly is the best as your skin doesn't even realize something (Fat) is being burnt out, so it naturally goes back gradually to original size. Lolz.

Yes. today Friday March 9th my weight has dropped to

My New Lifestyle And Natural Weight Loss Journey Day 2

Ugu vegetable stir fry recipe below.
Hello. Good morning to us. Yesterday I climbed on the scale and the digits actually dropped. I had always thought that with carbs in my diet, that weight loss will be very slow but was really surprised when I stood there and sa the numbers dropping like in just one day! I'm so happy and inspired already. Can't wait to see more progress. Yesterday was so busy I couldn't find time to sit down for breakfast till noon. Should I just call that brunch? Ate my first meal at exactly 12 noon and didn't feel hungry again till 4pm which I'e adopted as my dinner time to enable the food to work out very well and burn out before I go to bed. Going to bed with a full stomach won't help in this weight loss and healthy living journey, so, I'll try my best to stick to 4pm dinner and 5pm is still ok just incase.

I ate just two meals yesterday. I naturally don't feel hungry in the morning until about 10am or thereafter, then I'll suddenly feel really hungry and eat until I burp. My Lifestyle has to change, that's why I'll try my best to eat early whether hungry or not (But sha, eating when one is not hungry can feel like punishment sometimes. I'll show my hand, close my eyes and take the punishment since breakfast is the most important meal of the day).

Not really in the mood for exercise but I tried my best. See how heavy I'm exercising? Raising leg up nor easy at all oh. I struggled with posting this video because if I could laugh so hard at myself. what will people say? Funny video but I posted anyway so tomorrow, when I become a pro 💪💪💪 I can return here to watch and see where the journey began.

Good morning Team. Today is Monday, March 5. I promised to give updates of the previous day. So,  I'm going to share what I ate yesterday which was the first day of my new Lifestyle  and weight loss journey. Some things will be the same except for the food because I didn't add that yesterday. I haven't cheated on myself so far and surprisingly there's already a difference. When I stood on the scale this morning, didn't expect to see any difference in just one day but there is. The digits dropped satisfactorily and I'll post the numbers tomorrow. I hope that's not a bit too much because I am not for

Coconuts are in season now and less expensive, we'll make the best of the season, load our bodies with all the cocogoodness. No oil added but you can add if you like. The bottle of oil in the pic is because I initially planned to stir-fry the onion, pepper and crayfish before adding, but later CHANGED my mind. These broad moi moi leaves have been preserved for 3 months and they still very fresh.

Fresh Fish stew with vegetables (Caribbean Stewed fish altered for my Nigerian palate)

Fresh fish stew cooked with vegetables.

This fish stew is so delicious one cannot describe it. If you love like Caribbean stewed fish, then, you'll love this in a finger licking way. I left out a few ingredients that I think my local Nigerian palate will not enjoy. Boiled my fish the Nigerian way before adding unlike the Carribean method of just stir frying fish  along with vegetables. These pieces are large and may not cook through the way we like it here. My boiling before adding is just to ensure that my fish cook well well and I have fish stock to make sauce because definitely, my Nigerian palate will enjoy this with a hot plate of boiled rice. The stew is meant to be served as a meal sha but since I'm not really watching my weight at the moment, that alone without boiled rice won't fill me up. So I got a little bit creative and came up with this delicious pot of Nigerian fresh fish stew cooked with colourful assorted vegetables, with my Naija local flavour in there. This pot of fish stew serves 7.

2 Scallion ( Spring onion)
1 large Red bell pepper (Tatashey)
1 large Shallot (Onion)
1 large Green pepper
1 large Yellow pepper
1 large Orange pepper
3 Scotch bonnet (Ata rodo pepper)
4 medium sized Tomato fruit
1/2 teaspoon Thyme
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
3 cups Vegetable oil. You can use less
2 medium sized Fresh fish (Croaker)
2 Seasoning cubes
Salt to taste
3 cups Water to boil the fish. You can add more if you like to make more stock

  1. First dice and chop washed vegetables, wash and boil fish with salt and onion and set aside.
  2. Stir fry some vegetables (Onion, tomatoes, all the peppers, thyme, black pepper, in oil with seasoning and salt for about 3 minutes in medium heat so they don't burn. Check for taste. Should taste really good at this time already, with delicious aroma filling the whole kitchen.
  3. Next, gently add your already boiled fish and stock, with a wooden spoon, shift vegetables and place fish without stirring or just empty sauteed vegetables into the pot of cooked fish for easy transfer. Cover and leave to simmer for about a minute or less. Check again for taste.
  4. Add the spring onion and immediately turn off the heat, if you can do without crushing the fish, then gently stir and mix. Leave to stand for about 3 minutes, let the different tastes and flavours seep into the fish before serving as a meal or with boiled rice, spaghetti or macaroni.
