Meet the suspects who allegedly murdered a JUMIA delivery man over iPhone 7, police recover body in septic tank (Photos)



So much wickedness in the heart of man created by a good God! 
A Jumia delivery guy who came to deliver couple of iPhone 7 was gruesomely murdered by these suspects at Ada George Road, Port-Harcourt, Rivers state.

According to OAP, Blessing Olomu, the suspects which included two males and a female, allegedly killed the delivery man and dumped his body in a septic tank. His body was recovered by a team of police officers today. The police acted on a tip off from neighbors who suspected foul play within the compound.

Former President Obasanjo’s wife files suit in Lagos court to stop son’s wedding



Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo, wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Monday filed a suit at an Ikeja High Court, seeking to stop the wedding of her son, Olujonwo Obasanjo, scheduled for May 11.

Ex-President Obasanjo and the father of the bride, Sir Kessington Adebutu, promoter of Premier Lotto known as “Baba Ijebu” are respondents to the suit. Mrs Obasanjo, who is the twin sister of Chief Kenny Martins, the former Coordinator of the Police Equipment Fund, is seeking a postponement of the wedding of her son, Olujonwo to Tope Adebutu scheduled for May 11 and May 12.


She wants the wedding to be fixed for a date after June 1. Olujonwo and Tope had an elaborate introduction on Dec. 17, 2016 with the social media awash with photographs of the event.

Revealed: Family pressure pushed Lagos doctor Orji to jump into Lagoon



Fresh insights have emerged as to why Allwell Orji, a 35-year-old medical doctor with the Papa Ajao branch of Mount Sinai Hospital, decided to take his own life by jumping into the lagoon in Lagos last Sunday.

A close associate of the deceased doctor told The Nation that he (Orji) once confided in him that he was fed up with life and “wanted to end it all.”
He said:
“We were close and we often discussed about his life. He was a brilliant young man and he liked helping people. He was in the habit of taking part in free medical outreaches and he loved to study.
“Despite his condition, he was still studying further. He ought to be rounding off his post-graduate studies which would have enabled him to become a consultant,” the young associate said.
Although it was gathered that the deceased medical practitioner was a sickle cell anaemia carrier, the associate, who pleaded not to be named, said the deceased doctor sometimes had moments of mental instability.

Some of you may have forgotten about beautiful Cynthia who was lured to a Lagos hotel and murdered in 2012 by men she met on Facebook. At last, justice is served! She can rest now.

A Lagos State High Court sitting in Igbosere has sentenced Ezekiel Eloka and Echezona Nwabufor to death by hanging for the murder of a post-graduate student, Cynthia Osokogu, who they lured from Nasarawa to Lagos before strangling her to death at a hotel in Festac Town, Lagos, in 2012.

Delivering her judgement, Justice Olabisi Akinlade declared that after carefully analyzing the evidence presented before the court, testimonies of prosecution witnesses, and confessional statements the deceased made to the police, she was left with no doubt that the accused

Three siblings trading in beans on Adenekan Street, Alagbado, Lagos State, have been arrested by the police after they allegedly preserved the beans with poisonous insecticide Sniper and still sold it to members of the public.

It was learnt that the traders – Faith Ogbona, Chidioke Ogbona and Sunday Ogbona – were arrested by policemen from the Alagbado division after being alerted by a woman, who caught Chidioke applying Sniper, killer insecticide, on the beans.

Woman who kidnapped 2 kids in Makurdi arrested with them on her way to Onitsha (photos)



Benue state police have reportedly arrested a woman who kidnapped two children in Makurdi, Benue state with the aim of trafficking them to Onitsha.

Tragedy as three siblings electrocuted in Delta



Three siblings of the same mother identified as Ms Elohor Gabriel were on Saturday electrocuted following a suspected power surge in Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was learnt that the children were electrocuted when an electric cable connecting power to their apartment got burnt and came in contact with a burglar proof while the children were reportedly playing at the veranda. The deceased who were identified as Blessed Adam, Elizabeth Adam and John Oluwadare were ages of 6, 9 and 15 respectively. They were the only ones at home when the incident occurred.

Court asked to stop Big Brother Naija (see photos of the Motion on Notice)



A Nigerian father and medical doctor who is frustrated that his efforts in bringing up his children in a moral way has been jeopardised with the continued broadcast of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show has filed a case against the show.

In court papers exclusively obtained by Laila Ijeoma, Dr Olusola Omoju is seeking an injunction that restrains broadcast of the reality show on DSTV and GoTV pending determination of the suit.

In it, Dr Olusola alleges that Multichoice introduced the Big Brother Naija channel, aired adverts for the reality shows which he says promotes indecency, immorality and obscenity and included it on his bouquet without his consent.

That as a result of the inclusion in his bouquet, his family members and other dependents became avid watchers of the Big Brother Naija show and are now being influenced negatively through the

Woman rescued after jumping into lagoon in Lagos just a day after man jumped in & drowned



Just a day after a 35-year-old medical doctor committed suicide by jumping into the lagoon at the Third Mainland Bridge, another of such incidents have been recorded when a woman also jumped into the lagoon in the Maza-Maza area of Lagos State.

Daily Sun reports that the unidentified woman was lucky as the timely intervention of local fishermen and divers in the area rescued her before she could drown. According to eyewitnesses, the woman had walked casually to the Maza-Maza Bridge in the Mile 2 area and to the shock of people around, she took a dive into the lagoon but the fishermen dived in after her and rescued her.
