Lucky Mum shares terrifying car crash photos to warn other parents of the dangers of making THIS car seat mistake

It is important for every parent to secure their babies in the car seat the right way so that in the case of an impact, the baby is not badly affected.
Setting up the car seat can be one of the most stressful tasks a new parent faces.
It's one of the most important pieces of equipment we buy to protect our little ones, so making sure they are installed correctly is incredibly important.
But despite the vital role it plays, some people do not know all the safety features their seat offers which could save their child's life.
And there is one feature in particular which could be the difference between life and death in
the event of a car crash.

One mum who didn't know this has shared photos of what her child's car seat after a her husband was involved in crash driving at less than 30mph.

The couple did not know the handle on their car seat should always be in the upright position.
It's important to point out here that every type of car seat is different , so it is important to check the correct position for your exact one.
But on many popular brands, not only is it there to allow you to carry the seat to and from the car, it's one of the most important safety features if you're involved in a crash. This means that when the seat bounces back after the initial impact, the handle is the first thing that hits the seat rather than the baby's head.
The woman wanted to tell her story, which involved a Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix, to make other parents aware.
The photos were shared alongside a message which reads: "A lady called Lisa contacted me yesterday to tell me about her husband's car crash. "He blacked out for a few seconds due to a coughing fit and crashed head on into a lorry at about 20-30 mph.
"Luckily he only suffered minor injuries because the lorry saw the crash coming and stopped just before the impact.
"Luckily the baby wasn't in the seat at the time.
"It was installed correctly, but the handle wasn't up and this is how it ended up after the crash. "Lisa wanted me to share these pictures to show how important it is to read your car seat's instructions, because something as simple as the position of the handle can make all the difference to the outcome of a car crash."
