Here's why Big Brother Naija is being hosted in South Africa

Btw, I'm enjoying the show already. Have found my favourite housemate yet, and that's King Efe who  incidentally, successfully won The Head of House task for this week. Actress Bisola is in the house and I like it, she's talkative and so, there'll be no boring moments. People already complaining about her talkativeness but hey, I like it. She's intelligent and makes sense. They seem to be loading on so much carbs already and if they continue that way, in three months most would have gained weight. Breakfast was yam, for lunch they ate jollf rice and I hope dinner won't be carbs. So far so good! Really enjoying the show and looking forward to Diary Sessions. PHCN just struck sha, but before then I was enjoying Bisola's delicious Diary  Session.

Now back to Big Brother Naija being hosted in South Africa:
Africa Magic, the show’s organiser, has replied and according to them, there’s already a “fully equipped house with facilities required for a successful show in South Africa.
The need to put out quality content “whilst meeting timelines/deadlines” is behind the decision to transmit Big Brother Naija to Nigerians from South Africa.
“We have a fully equipped house in South Africa which is used for the Big Brother shows. For the Voice, our approach was pretty much the same.
“The venue is already set up with all facilities required for the successful execution of the show; this means that we are able to achieve high production values whilst meeting tight timelines/deadlines and ensuring the show comes to our viewers on time, as planned, and with the same globally renowned quality.
“Whilst the house is based in South Africa, the BBN show is 100% Nigerian, with
fully Nigerian housemates and content.”
Africa Magic also noted that Big Brother Naija has been greatly improved since the ten years it last aired on Nigerian television.
“The past 10 years and successes of other Big Brother Africa shows have provided opportunities for improving on the show and now we are ready to give the best version of the show to Nigerians.”
K9, Yemi Alade and Flavour performed at the opening ceremony of Big Brother Naija 2017.
