How to bake cake with no oven and no mixer

In this video I film myself showing steps on how to bake a No oven cake with no cake mixer.

Filming the easy steps for this no oven cake recipe,  I bake a yummy moist tea cake in my cooking pot using table salt and aluminum foil to coat the pot and bake on a stovetop. No oven was used at all at any step in the baking of this moist vanilla tea cake.

The cake baked perfectly in just 45 minutes. Watch the easy steps shown in the video above. You can watch the baking on my YouTube channel and subscribe to notifications if you like.

Before getting the no oven cake ingredients ready,  I preheated the pot with some salt in it for 25 minutes.

I left the pot to preheat for 25 minutes because my gas burner is not that really large and hot.
In the video, after preheating the pot, I covered with foil, placed the baking pan in, and baked with no oven for 45 minutes.

This tea cake is moist as you can see in the short video. The cake baked excellently well with no oven at all.

As I type this recipe, the delicious vanilla tea cake is gone. Every single piece of my tea cake has been eaten while the kids and even adults are still asking for more no oven cake recipes.

My children have pleaded that I keep baking cakes like this for them these holidays. Baking this cake in a pot with sand is the best decision.

Baking on a stove actually saved my gas because the oven burners are large and burn hotter consuming more gas.

INGREDIENTS USED TO BAKE MY CAKE WITH NO OVEN

1 and a half cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
250 grams softened butter
1/2 cup of sugar (100 grams)
1/4 cup powdered milk
5 small-sized eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla butter and nut essence.

EASY BAKING STEPS FOR MY NO OVEN MOIST TEA CAKE

Firstly,  I poured table salt in my heavy base cooking pot to protect the bottom from burning.

Next, I placed the pot on the stove to preheat for 25 minutes.  I left it to heat up for that long because my stove burners are tiny and not very hot like that.

Thirdly,  I added all the dry ingredients into the sieved flour.  I added the powdered milk, baking powder, and salt,  mixed them very well, and set aside.

The fourth step is the creaming of the butter and sugar.  To soften my butter before use, I beat it by hitting the pack continuously with my hand until it softened.  I then used an egg whisk to cream the butter and sugar manually without a cake mixer for about five minutes.  I did this until the butter turned pale and lighter inconsistency.

Once the butter and sugar mixture turned light in color,  I added the vanilla essence and started adding the eggs one after the other while mixing as shown in the video above.  The video shows these steps even more clearer just in case you are not very clear on any steps explained.

The fifth step is folding in the dry ingredients.  So I gently folded in the dry ingredients without mixing.  Once the are all combined, I poured into the greased baking pan and placed it in the hot pot.

Before placing the baking pan in the pot,  I quickly covered the salt with aluminum foil to prevent any salt from entering my cake.

To bake this cake on a stove, I also did tye creaming of the sugar and butter manually with an egg whisk and it came out great.
I used a nonstick baking pan for this cake.

  1. Thanks for sharing with us.

    One question, please.

What measuring cup did you use? Milk cup or the conventional measuring cup where 1cup equals 250grams? Thanks.
