I am not a tea person but used to enjoy drinking Nigerian style tea (Milo and milk combo). This continued until even as an adult. Right now as I type, I love Nigerian tea but started reducing it’s intake after I had my last baby. The babies need it more than me because after all, while growing kids need Naija tea to grow, I needed to lose weight constantly.

When I approached forty, I started to take Monster Energy. This is  because it actually did give me monster kind of energy for the whole day.  If I dare take this energy drink in the evening, my night will be spent with eyes wide open and full of energy. Well, hubby started to get worried. Complaining that energy drinks do have side effects and all that.  But, I was enjoying that energy boost. The kids too joined and I just had to drastically reduce the monster energy drink intake and tried drinking coffee in the morning instead.

Truth is, this morning I just took my cup of coffee. My taking coffee is not because I enjoy it too much. It is a kind of semi replacement for my monster energy drink. Not as if I will no longer take monster energy, I only reduced the frequency to enable coffee join the family. I love them both for their efficacy.

WHY I STARTED TO DRINK COFFEE INSTEAD

Coffee keeps me awake and energetic. I need that energy else I’ll just be feeling tired most of the day. So, my plan has always been to search Google for all the benefits of this coffee I just started taking but, haven’t had the time until today.  I bumped into @urenmanaturals post on Instagram. She is a wonderful skincare expert. I believe what she says about the benefits of coffee on the skin. She also displayed her coffee soap bar on her page and I wish those were shipped to Nigeria already.

Well, I can’t take my coffee without a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of powdered milk. My kids think that the milk and sugar addition changes it into something else, but, I don’t care about whatever the change. All I know is that the caffeine in there keeps me energetic without getting intoxicated and that’s all I need.   Now I know there are other health benefits like fighting this cellulite trying to visit my thighs and upper arm. Why won’t I take some more coffee and enjoy more coffee benefits on my skin?
