A 20 Minutes Walk With Your Family Could Stop Arguments

Going for a 20 minute walk around nature will calm down children and improve family harmony, a study suggests.

Getting away from TV, smartphone and computer screens and immersing yourself in nature and green spaces will help make family members less irritable.
And creating a ‘ritual’ of going to the park one day a week, having a picnic outside the home too can

help create a sense of family identity which can be ‘shared down through the generations’, the authors said.
As well as attention restoration and getting away from the day-to-day, the researchers suggest that nature-based rituals, such as walking the dog together could boost family morale

Plants, trees and grass help to restore our mental resources in a way that cannot be achieved by watching a film or tv show as a family, they advised.
