Reporter arrested for defecating in woman’s yard while covering Breaking News story

Jonathan Lowe, a reporter for KPHO in Phoenix, was arrested Monday after a woman filed a complaint against him for defecating in her yard while covering a breaking news story.
“Those people who called on me just wanted to start problems,” Lowe told the police officer who tracked him down in his news van and arrested him.
The woman who filed the complaint said Lowe could have used her bathroom if he had

simply knocked on the door and asked her.

NY Daily News — The 33-year-old was seen by a neighbor as he picked up papers from the street before leaning against the wall of a house and relieving himself, according to a Goodyear police report obtained by his station.
An officer tasked with the job of tracking Lowe down said the suspect admitted to using the yard as an impromptu latrine.
“I know what you want to talk to me about. I’ve been feeling very sick and I’ve been stuck in this van all day,” he said, according to the report.
KPHO News director responded to an inquiry from the NY Daily News, saying Lowe was still an employee at the station. But a write-up on Thursday night referred to their bubble guts colleague as a “former KPHO/KTVK reporter.”

  1. I remember working in a place that allowed public access to the restrooms. There was a certain group of people who came from a Northern State with poor toilet etiquette, and these people would wipe their butts then toss the tissue paper in the garbage with the excrement in full view. And a certain group from another Northern State would crouch on the toilet seats leaving shoe prints and dirt.
