My Naija Hotdogs For Breakfast And Lunch Boxes

Serving Nutritious breakfast to my family, somebori is already working on this getting ready for work. If only you knew I was taking a pic while playing with my phone, hahaha. I try abeg, doing all these and more between 5 and 6am daily except on weekends o.

There is no need for a long write up or step by step explanation because we have hotdogs and kids lunch box posts on the blog. I’ll add
links later pls.

Sausages can be fried like here, boiled or even grilled before making hotdogs. Chicken franks can also be used

Hotdog bun is cut, rubbed with mayo before pressing sausages in

Preparing 2 for lunch boxes and one for breakfast

put in ziplock bags before placing in the lunch box. Wish I knew a better way of packing them for school cos this look is not really appetizing

Hotdogs for school, when I wrap, they complain, when I put in lunch plates, they complain, in foil, they complain. Please who knows a better way of packaging them neatly for school?

  1. Well done Eya.
Sometimes I wonder how you manage to still open your phone to browse amidst all the kids blessings (not hassle, lol).
As for the packaging, why not try using serviettes to roll before putting it in a lunch box so that their hands don't get all stained while devouring the hotdogs. They'll just pull down the serviettes a lil with each bite

  2. buy the small ketchup packets and mustard. roll the hot dog in foil. this way they can put the lunch together when ready to eat. with the ketchup already on it from home, the bread will get soggy. if you can't find the packets, you can also buy small cups to put a little bit of ketchup for each day. or you could buy the very small bottles of ketchup and mustard for each person to take to school and bring back in their lunch box. during lunch, they'll use a little bit at a time. but that one depends on your kids, cause if they like ketchup, they'll probably use too much

  3. Thank you so much! Wish I know where to find these lil satchets cos that will really help. I know they'll surely leak the left over but will still prefer that to soggy hotdogs.

  4. Don't worry Neni, I'll post some by e courier. Funny thing is I don't even eat hotdogs, after preparing for my family, I sat down to enjoy my left over eba from yesterday with fisherman okra soup cooked with shrimps, fresh button mushrooms and fresh fish though I didn't take pics this time, sorry. I ate only a small quantity sha since it was still morning. Have never tasted hotdogs, do not even know how to start but my whole family can devour it daily sef with no problem. I'd rather take my bun with just margarine and beverage. #Bush
