He Said They Said

Of course, I don come again…
I’ve been trying to keep my weight under check as each visit to the stores reveal the obvious I really don’t like, to me. I know it’s just lack of discipline as I’ve been working on that theoretically for a while now.
There is this new gym in my estate and the funny thing is that
it was created by an elderly couple whom I may add, have an understanding of staying healthy and keeping fit.
I overheard from two sources that their charges were ridiculous. Ridiculous is – You register for N5000 monthly and pay N500 each time you go to the gym after registration for that month. To say that I believed is not the subject of the matter here but that I also went ahead to tell about 3-4 people is quite demeaning of me.
The fee may be chicken feed to some of you but abeg allow me cut my coat according to my materials O. I no fit go form, come dey drink garri dey lie say ‘that’s what I feel like eating for breakfast, lunch and supper’.
Anyway, I got home around 5pm on Friday from work and decided to see my neighbor whom I haven’t seen in a while due to work and I saw that she was getting ready to go to the gym with her 9 year old daughter. She accused me of being even fatter and saw that as an opportunity to invite me to the gym. As you’d imagine, I was quick to tell her my unconfirmed story about the gym and she just stirred at me in disbelief. She asked me two questions- ‘who told you this’ and later followed with ‘did you at least go into the gym to make enquiries yourself’? I mumbled and fumbled with my words but she helped me out by telling me it wasn’t true. I could relate with her since she was a member of the gym. She told me to attend with her for only that day so that I’d see for myself and also speak with the owner.
I attended and participated in the aerobics since it was about 10 of us, hence, it was fun and I enjoyed myself. It later turned out that the N5000 registration for the month covers for the month without you having to pay any fees and also, as an unregistered member, you pay N300 as an adult and N150 as a child/Student on each visit.
I’m trying to sit up to type this the morning after as I am quite sore from yesterday’s exercises. Oh boy, e don tay wey I even jump prior to yesterday’s exercises.
The morale of my story is this, biko; let’s confirm stories before going on to become rumor mongers… I’ve learnt my lesson the most demeaning way…
Have you ever been involved in He/she said they said that we said that they were going to say?
Let’s share our ‘cute’ stories.
Hugs…

And it's a terrible thing. People have spoilt other people's reputation by telling stories dey are not sure of. Yesterday a friend told me that her other friend told her that she knew me from lagos, that she knows me very well. When this my friend told me what her friend said I was shocked because in my 24 yrs of existence on earth I have never been to lagos. I was born and bred in d east and now am working in Abuja. So I've never even passed Lagos of gone close to lagos. It's terrible in this country, people say things they are not sure of and tarnish other people's image. We are all guilty of this one way or the other, please let's be sure b4 we talk. It begins with u and me.

Ok Anon 3.30pm, what did patsy say that has not been said before or even heard or seen. Is it not obvious. These are things happening around us, and a lot of us have become victims of these so called church. You berra watch it before you become a victim of new level of grace Lol
The truth they say is bitter but he that has ears let him hear what the spirit is saying to the church. Do a self examination, change they say is constant. Be gud
