My beans recipe:
Beans 4 cups.
Medium sized tilapia.
Veg oil (optional)
Sweet potato (optional)
I usually parboil my beans just for 5minutes.
Throw the fish into the pot.
Allow to boil till beans is very soft.
Spice to taste.
Add sweet corn n turn off d heat.
Before adding the sweet corn U may want to add a cooking spoon of veg oil, for me its really optional.
Cos I came up with this dish as a means of reducing carbs and oil intake.
This can b served alone or with some stew.
I recently used sweet potato, it's ok if you are dieting or you want to use your carb intake cos its caloric content is minimal.
Even people who don't like beans enjoy it.
U can also use dry fish or azu mangala.
My mum used biscuit bones to cook beans for a while and it was really really nice.
Another method of eating beans is to cook the beans plain, with or without yam and then prepare palm oil sauce with fresh pepper and onions, it is really nice!
