Pastor Anselm Madubuko loses wife, how do we cope with the loss of a loved one?

Pastor Anselm Madubuko of Revival Assembly loses wife Pastor Connie. The loss of a loved one can be very stressful and can also lead to emotional problems. Knowing how to cope can help any one get through the grieving process.
We grief when we go through pain because someone or something
we love is taken away from us.
Coping with this degree of loss is a very difficult thing for any man or woman. There are no right or wrong ways to grieve, but we can always try, and learn to cope. When we grief, it is good to:

  1. Try and get support. In places like here in   Nigeria where we do not have support groups in place, family and friends can be of great help and can really give support.
  2.  Take care of yourself. Look clean. dress neatly, remember to brush and have your bath daily.
  3. Eat even when you do not feel hungry. When people grieve, the pain inside of them does not let them recognize their needs, so eat and ensure that the stomach is not left empty to avoid following suit and leaving more grieving people behind.
  4. Face your feelings. If you have to cry, do so and unburden yourself. Do not let anyone tell you that crying is a sign of weakness, do not listen to the “crying over a loss is a sin” talk.
  5. Pray for the strength to cope. Pray for others who may be going through that kind of experience.
Finally, pray that you learn the lesson that experience has to teach you. Let the hidden lesson that life has for you be revealed, so that after grieving, you come out stronger and a better person.
I have watched Pastor Anselm preach on TV severally, may he, their three children and every member of that family be granted the fortitude to bear this loss.
