Blogging tips for beginners, wives and very busy bloggers

Blogging is not just what you do for leisure, just like I said in an earlier post.
Successful blogging has rules that should be followed, it has what I call due process that has to be observed. IF you are just blogging for fun, you are just doing it because other people are doing it, then this post may not be relevant to you.
However, if your purpose is to do something online, share your thoughts and experiences and benefit from it, then you are at the right place.

You spend so much money fueling your generating set to have electricity, that is if you live in Nigeria and other third world countries. You pay heavily to subscribe for internet connection too. So, doing something that will bring some profits is not a bad idea at all. Whatever your reason for blogging may be, try as much as possible to also make money online. Blogging for fun does not stop us from putting some adverts on our sites and making a little if not much money out of it.

Whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well. If I cannot put my best into blogging, than there is no point starting in the first place. We MUST ALWAYS STRIVE TO EXCEL. No matter what we do in life, Excellence should be our watchword. even if we are blogging because people say blogging is fun, we must try to be among the best and not among the “not so good”

BLOGGING TIPS:

  • I will like to start with tips for those who are still trying to consider blogging
  • Then move on to New Bloggers
  • Busy wives and mothers in blogging business
  •  Bloggers who think that “we” already know what successful blogging is
THINKING ABOUT BLOGGING?
  1. Start right away by typing the words ” how to start a new blog” on your browser.
  2. You will be asked to own a Google account if you are going to blog with blogger. Opening a Google account is very easy because the instructions are just there to guide you through
  3. Once your account is verified, you will get a message from Google, this message is received in your mail box or phone depending on what you want Google to do.
  4. Your new blank profile appears, asking you to fill in and complete the blank spaces, and while you are doing this, just know that you are already creating your blog because after this, your Dashboard appears.
  5. The Dashboard is where you do all your work which people get to see on your blog. You alone will have access to this dashboard, except if it is a blog owned by a group. In that case, those of you in that group are the only ones with access to send posts to the blog.
The dashboard is like your online office, where you sit to plan and do all your work before posting.
It comes with the different sections, showing you where to write whatever you want to write. After writing, you will see before you, the word “publish” and clicking on publish just takes what ever it is that you have written to your blog and that means that people have started reading it. Once this is done, you get a message that your post has been published and immediately, you get to see how many people are already reading what you publish.

If you are considering blogging, do not ponder any longer. Once you publish, just know that there are instructions always guiding you on what to do and whatever you want to do like know who is reading what you published, from what part of the world, who is referring people to read your blog etc. Everything you need is there right in front of you.

From here on, you are already blogging and whatever you need is online. You cannot get stuck because once you type your question online, the answer appears and you continue to blog with ease.

FOR NEW BLOGGERS:
Do not just continue to write and post without feedback. Getting feedback from people by way of comments may be difficult at this stage because your readers have not yet built that confidence and trust in your blog. People still check to compare your blog to their favourites so they may not leave any comments.
There are other ways you can use to get feedback about your blog.
  1. Apply to Google ad sense for adverts. Whether you really need the adverts or not, just apply.
  2. The reply you get after your application is the feedback that you need at this point. The reply comes with details of what you still have to do and where you need to work on your blog. Even if your request is not granted at this time, you can still apply after complying to their requirements. The truth is that while you are trying to make your blog acceptable, you are actually doing what you need to do and although this is draining and some times discouraging to a beginner, just keep going and do not quit because when you have satisfied all these, the work becomes easier from there.
  3. Research frequently about blogging so that you keep abreast of all updates on blogging
  4. When you read something that is beneficial to your blogging, subscribe, so that updates from there will get to you all the time.
  5. Read “Daily blog tips” regularly and subscribe to the posts.
  6. When you get comments, reply to the comments, not just saying a thank you to the commenter, but, be engaging, try to keep the conversation going.
  7. Start linking your posts early because when they become many, it gets a little bit difficult like what I am experiencing now
  8. Remember to post regularly and know that the best time is in the morning when your brain is still free and it gives your readers the opportunity to start reading that post early and at the end of the day, you will get good page views for that day.
  9. Do not copy posts from other blogs if you want your readers to return back to your blog. They are reading all those blogs too, and copying them shows that you have nothing original to offer.
  10. Write your own posts, something that they can only get from your blog. This will keep bringing them back for more.
  11. Blogging is just sharing your thoughts with the world, so try and be open with your readers. Bring them into your world. It is scary actually because this is like sharing your world with total strangers, but do not worry about that and be happy that at least there is somebody some where who can connect with your story and come back again. Try as much as possible to be honest with your readers because you and I know when we read a fake story.
  12. This is getting too long, I am going to cut it here and post the last two sub- topics under new posts because I get bored reading very long posts and I am sure that many of my readers are like that. Off we go to talk about blogging for wives and busy mothers
To also talk about blogging for those who already know what it is.

  1. Hi Aderonke, congratulations on your new blog. I want to suggest a few tips.
    1. Click on your settings, then click on Template, then click on customize Template.

I will prefer Awesome Incorporated Template, so you can click on it.

To customize more, click on Advanced Settings after choosing a template. Use the Advanced settings to set your page the way you want.
    Hope this helps.

*You can also slick on Layout to chose how you want your blog layout.

  2. Congratulation sis!!!
It's easy, place your cursor on all the icons on your dashboard, when you get to the one that says LINK, you click on it and paste the address of the post you want to link in the space.

Do not even stress yourself cos everything you need to know about building a blog is on Google. Type in your query and Google will give more results than you can read sef.
    Congrats again
